Last night Rachel Maddow looked into the radical views of the preachers and activists that Texas Gov. Rick Perry is partnering with to put on his The Response prayer rally. Utilizing research from People For the American Way’s Right Wing Watch, Maddow featured video of Mike Bickle, John Hagee, Bryan Fischer, Cindy Jacobs, John Benefiel and C. Peter Wagner, and discussed Perry’s attempts to win support from the Religious Right as he weighs a run for the presidency. Y'know, I read somewhere that as Republicans continue to hitch their wagon to the religious right and the wealthy, and as we the young (mostly liberal) voters tend to separate ourselves from religion and unfair economics, the Republicans are thought to be out of power for the next 40 years, as those who are seeing them for the corrupt, uninformed, narrow minded fucks they are, grow up and take hold of the country. Of course that's from a liberal mindset but I don't see it being far from the truth, either.

And yet, Perry gets seen as a serious candidate by people other than the God sent Hitler/DADT repeal killed black birds/Native Americans deserved genocide/Oprah is the harbinger of the Anti-Christ people.
Oh man, I hope this guy never becomes president...
Sex with demons pretty much all needs to be said here
Normally I'd agree, but this is from Maddow, and she's fucking retarded.
Normally I'd agree, but this is from Maddow, and she's fucking retarded.
You are a disgrace to your delicious name.
And yet, Perry gets seen as a serious candidate by people other than the God sent Hitler/DADT repeal killed black birds/Native Americans deserved genocide/Oprah is the harbinger of the Anti-Christ people.
I really don't know why people here in Texas kept re-electing him over and over again. His opponents in the past few elections were pretty weak but still, the guy hasn't really done anything but take credit for economic strength in the state that he really had nothing to do with. He just knows how to mess with images and slogans, make himself seem like a "true" conservative and family man. That says a lot about the so-called "religious right" that back him, just fear-mongering and empty sloganeering.
Oh man, I hope this guy never becomes president...
It's already sad that he's a governor.
You are a disgrace to your delicious name.
Have you ever heard the woman talk about the military? She has no comprehension of anything relating to it, but she still loudly espouses her opinion as if she is an expert. I remember watching a video of her whining about the F-22 because it wouldn't hold up to small arms fire, GEE IT'S ALMOST LIKE IT WOULDN'T NEED WHEN IT'S GOING AT MACH 1.5. Basically, she's the liberal Ann Coulter because she's obnoxious, loud, intentionally provocative, and none of her opinions have any basis in fact.
Yes except unlike Ann Coulter she kind of has a brain.
Yes except unlike Ann Coulter she kind of has a brain.
That still doesn't excuse the fact that she has no knowledge of military hardware whatsoever and has no business preaching about it.
That still doesn't excuse the fact that she has no knowledge of military hardware whatsoever and has no business preaching about it.
The religious right has no knowledge of anyone outside of their ranks and constantly preach on it. Just let a person flap their mouth on it. She's a tv host and it's her job. Doesn't mean she's correct but it was the topic of the day.

Huh, I thought NBC got rid of the peacock logo.
Huh, I thought NBC got rid of the peacock logo.
They only took out the peacock on the NBCUniversal logo, the company that owns NBC.
