So its time i got a new carpet. My old one is old and smelly. Now im no expert at picking out a good carpet. My original one is grey. And i need a nice Red,Blue or White carpet. Any good brands?
Green...orange...mhhhhhhmmm
What color are your walls and furniture? You might also want to consider linoleum or wood depending on what it is you're carpeting.
Instead of a white, choose a cream color. It's easier to keep clean and slightly more forgiving of stains.
I'd just completely redo your room if I were you. New coat(s) of pain on the walls and ceiling. Pick out some all colors you like then, pick a carpet color to match. There's nothing like starting fresh. [editline]25th February 2011[/editline] Also, if you're getting a new carpet always, and I mean ALWAYS, get a new carpet pad. Even when they don't look it, those things get nasty dirty.

A cream color would work perfectly then. Also you reaaaaaalllyyy may want to consider adding a bit of color in there.

If you have the money to spare and patience to secure it properly, I'd go for a basic colour across most of the floor, then have a circular (or any shape for that matter) pattern of 1 or 2 other colours in the middle or in one corner or something. Like 1.5-3m across.

My carpet color choice would be hardwood floor or laminate. if you ever take your carpet out, don't put another one in, put in laminate. It's 100x better, scientifically proven.
I agree with no carpet at all, when we moved in to this house we took out all the carpet and it was disgusting. The fact that it also had 70s styled fabric wallpaper didn't make the experience any better.
