Why are people still stuck in this thought that linearity is a bad thing?
I'll just go ahead and state the obvious and get it out of the way:
TotalBiscuit is awesome.

Nah.

This, its not. IMO linearity should be considered a genre, saying a game is shit because its linear is like saying Mass Effect is shit because its an RPG, or Half-Life is shit because its an FPS
The lack of quicksave killed this game for me.

How about the lack of level select

When the first game features free-roam sandbox gameplay (and is known for it), and the second one doesn't, that's when linearity becomes a problem.

Never noticed it, but stealthing for half an hour assassinating everybody, then dying of a grenade, and have to redo all that shit agan? No thanks.
Also the nanosuit voice is just embarrassing, i want the female from C1 :saddowns:

That's explained later on.

Anyhoo, I beat the game just now, and dare I say it, it's my favourite FPS ever.
I don't get how he thinks that the game gives you freedom. Every oportunity and possibility is already forseen by scripts/level design.
In Crysis one I loved blowing up huts and plants to make the enemies go there and then just finish them of with an explosive. I once had two soldiers getting killed by a piece of junk flying around from an explosion and that was awesome.
Where is that in this game?
Really? Because it's seeming really repetitive to me, and I HATE IT WHEN I FUCKING GET THE CONTROLS TAKEN OFF ME.
Seriously, you're walking along and "Oh hey cool the bridge is breaking away! I guess i'd better jump off in ti- Oh wait, no the game's taken the controller away from me"
It's like sitting next to a dick friend who takes the controller away every few minutes in order to do something stupid. I don't mind a good cutscene every now and again, but it's just annoying how I can't tell when i'm meant to be in control and when i'm not half the time.
Bulletstorm did that very well with the "press shift to look at awesome/important stuff" feature.
The fact that he's playing with a fish-eye resolution put me off of watching it.
I enjoyed the said "limited ammo" and necessity of tactical prowess... until our main enemy became aliens. I mean honestly. So ridiculously frustrating, why would they do that?? I could handle when there were 2 or 3 and I could stealth kill/hide/repeat but the big fuckers are just unfair with what they give you. I was not amused.
There really is too little ammo towards the end of the game. I ended up just cloaking behind all the aliens and stealth-assassinating them since guns were such a pain in the ass to use. In the very last part of the game [sp](the park)[/sp], I think I only killed about 6-8 enemies. However, it may have just been because I played through the whole thing in one sitting that I became impatient. On the flip-side, literal cloak-and-dagger gameplay is really fun.
Guns are for losers, by the end of the game. It's all about:
Sprint in
Grab an alien F
Stab with V
(OPTIONAL) Armour if you're getting shot at.
Repeat.
By the last 1/3rd of the game, I barely used any guns apart from on the occasional boss fight.
wow you summed it up so well, i found my BIGGEST asset was my inhumane fist and its ability to grab things impossibly easily

Yeah, the Nanosuit can (literally) pack a punch. I stopped using my gun, but didn't begin using stealth mode; You can simply run around with armor mode on and punch everything to death.
