Starforce protection compatibility error on startup

So since I changed from XP to Vista, I've been getting this error box on startup every time.

Now I don't care about starforce at all, but this error is annoying, because it comes up every time I boot up my computer. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? I don't know what game it is linked to.
Starforce is a rootkit, so it probably got saved in the transition. I recommend a clean reformat.
Try this:

Also try going to start and in the search programs and files field type in msconfig. Make sure that anything relating to Starforce protection is unchecked on start up.

I'm not deleting over 400GB of data to get rid of one error screen. Why does everyone suggest formatting for pc problems? Formatting is an absolute last resort. And even then I can still use the pc as long as I close the error box, so I'd rather leave it there than format. Is there any other way to format? Sorry if this post comes out as arrogant.

Because it's a rootkit, it's easier to format to kill them.
also, learn 2 partition. Why do you keep your OS and files on the same partition?
You don't have to re-format to install operating systems.
The reason we reccommend re-installs is because they are faster and easier, you also can't be sure that you have actually removed it otherwise.
I'm sure there will either be a starforce process or service. Try hitting windows key + R and type "services.msc" without quotation marks, and look for a starforce service in there and disable it. If you can't find it in there, hit windows key + R again and type "msconfig" and check startup items
