My iMac 24" has a black line going across the screen

I planned on selling this soon and now I see there's a thin black line at the top of my screen going horizontally across. I realize this is burn-in, but I was wondering...
Since this computer is still under AppleCare warranty, do you think I could get a refund from Apple for my computer if I tell them the issue and state that it won't go away even after leaving the computer off for a long time? I'm just asking for opinions based on how Apple handles hardware situations like this and their policies for refunds under AppleCare protection.
Thanks for the help.
Take it into the Genius Bar, they'll likely replace display for you.

Nope, no refund.

But if I go to my local Apple store with it and tell them it's broke please fix it and they check it's under AppleCare, they'll fix it for free?

Should do.

Okay thanks.
Anybody else want to give input?
Why would you want a refund if you can get it repaired?

He wants to sell it anyway.
Quick question again, will they fix it right then and there and it'll take like a half-hour or something, or is this a 2-week venture where they ship it to a factory and I have to wait for them to fix something that shouldn't have broken in the first place?
I'm gonna bet the latter.

What? They break as much as other computers; the difference is that if the iSight breaks in an iMac you send the whole Mac in, and if the webcam breaks in your average computer you send the webcam in.

I don't think Apple expects the average consumer to take apart their £900+ computer and remove the webcam module, before sending it to them and after that reinstalling it themselves.

Not sure sorry, never had a recent iMac. If they have the part they'll repair it instore, but you may have to come back the next day or something. If I recall correctly though, they can do most if not all repairs instore now though. Small devices tend to be done there and then, larger devices like laptops/desktops they'll probably call you when they're done fixing it.
macs suck
