They should sell it to people who want to get "ironic" things.
I saw a Duck Dynasty calendar the other day and wondered what kind of person would ever buy it. Even if you're a fan of the show, would you really want to have pictures of those guys on your wall that you see every day for a year?
I really hope the Red Telephone box doesn't disappear completely. They're part of what makes England England to me. :(
Depressing pictures of rotting metal cans wont sell. Who wouldve thunk it
People are gonna buy it now.
"We have created a calendar that is considered to be so hum-drum, so naff, so nerdy, so dull, so parochial that not even the most patriotic Welsh person wants to buy a copy. "In short we have not sold one calendar and we are past mid-November in the shopping run up to Christmas."
Sounds like someone desperately advertising this as an "ironic" gift. :v: Edit: Dammit Sobotnik. :(
I really hope the Red Telephone box doesn't disappear completely. They're part of what makes England England to me. :(
Its quite useful to me as well to have at least one around somewhere because I needed to ring someone up under quite bad circumstances and my battery was flat.
I really hope the Red Telephone box doesn't disappear completely. They're part of what makes England England to me. :(
Trouble is the only reason people use them anymore is to call prostitutes so they don't really serve any practical purpose now that everyone has mobile phones. Or drugs, homeless people do heroin in the phonebox near me
Oh man, those red telephone booths turn me on so much they're so hot I could look at them every day of the year just admiring them better buy a calendar it'll tide me over between each month's "Telephone Box Enquirer" magazine
Jeeze, what some places call news on a slow day.
Jeeze, what some places call news on a slow day.
Yeah, these guys totally phoned this one in today, which is surprising, considering it is the BBC. That having been said, I will miss them if they get phased out because they do look amazing and fancy.
And then you go in one and notice that someone did a poo in there.
It's okay - I've been in one of those and it smelt of piss and there were ads for hookers everywhere. Still, on the outside at least they looked pretty awesome. Shame that it's growing irrelevance in the modern world has resulted in their vandalism.
I really hope the Red Telephone box doesn't disappear completely. They're part of what makes England England to me. :(
A Greggs is more recognisable than a red telephone box these days
and thats why they say any press is good press. I bet they'll hit a few thousand sales in a week.
Watch it then go up in value once there are collectors for it. Well, even though its kinda useless after the year is up.

So where can I buy these? I want to give them to my family for Christmas so I can guilt them into actually using it :v:
See, the problem is you have to sell it to a market of morons who would buy it. Maybe if they tried selling it in America? And change the name to "Telephone boxes of the UK", even if it only contains boxes in Wales. I know plenty of morons here that'd buy it because it'd be hip and somehow better than anything else. It's kind of like going to London, except cheaper.
They should sell it to people who want to get "ironic" things.
You mean like the 2 books on Roundabouts of Britain and Ireland I have? :D
Depressing pictures of rotting metal cans wont sell. Who wouldve thunk it
but if they sold in finland, it would be top-selling :v:
Perhaps they could replace public telephone booths with public computer booths! I mean, assuming you want hobos masturbating in them even more than they already do.

how much you wanna bet those things will be considered super rare in a couple of decades
This is the same guy who made a calendar about roundabouts in my home town and country. I went to the same school as his kid, I wonder what it must be like having a dad with interests like that.
