I'm curious, when you are playing games or whatnot. Do you have to move your head arround, and not only your eyes to see it all? :P

30" is not good for games unless you're willing to spend huge amounts of hardware to run games at super high resolutions. 30 inches and 2560x1600 resolution is generally only good for people working in graphics design, photo editing and video editing. If you want loads of monitor room, just get 2 1920x1200/1080 monitors.
Games are really pretty in 2560x1600, but that resolution should be scaled down to 24-26" monitors instead of 30". Also it requires top high end hardware to run any newer games on that resolution, so it's too expensive for what it's worth in my honest opinion.
If anyone has a 23" or 24" monitor can they post a picture of their desk with their keyboard so I can get a rough estimation?
http://www.lge.com/us/computer-products/monitors/LG-lcd-monitor-W2753V-PF.jsp that's what i have I have my 360 and my computer hooked up to it and i cant say that i have to move my head, although sometimes i sit to low in my chair and need to adjust the monitor otherwise i cant see the top of it
32" Tv here
32 " 1080 Screen mounted on my wall when I do Graphics and Video Editing. 28 " 1080 Screen on my desk for gaming. Running it at max resolution with Dual Zotac 250 GTS.
Does a 37" HDTV count?
Its above 30" Isn't it xD ?
I use to use a 40" HD TV as a gaming monitor, but it's just too big. So I mounted it on the wall and use a 22" 1680x1050 for games. I still have the 40" hooked up as a secondary monitor for when watching films or coding.
I have two 23" monitors so that's 46" total :v:

Thanks.
Dont need to move your eyes, just sit further back.

Do I see Vista? I think I do. :D
Since I have a relatively great keyboard I will post my dimensions. I don't have any problems viewing on my 24". Plus I have a 17" to the side.

I don't see how you guys have 23" monitors, they look like 19" ones to me. Your desks must be gigantic.
[IMG_thumb]http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn70/Evilanbb/SatFeb27000637MST2010.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Samsung 305T Plus 30" monitor I don't need to move my head around because my chair puts me at slightly lower eye level with the middle of the screen.
I currently use 2560 x 1680 for gaming. Well sometimes I turn it down, but god is it beutiful! Also my screen is 32' :smug:
27.5" here (or 28" depending on which site you look at), I can easily see my whole screen without moving my head. And I wear glasses so my useful field of view is smaller than most people's.
I have 15 here.
I currently use 2560 x 1680 for gaming. Well sometimes I turn it down, but god is it beutiful! Also my screen is 32' :smug:
News flash, you're full of shit. You mean 2560x1600, not 1680, and they don't make any 32" LCD's that run 2560x1600. I've got a 30" Dell at 2560x1600 and it's wonderful, but I don't game anymore. You don't have to move your head either, and anyone who says 30" is to big hasn't ever used one, or is basing their opinions on the quality and experience of LCD TV's.
32inch, 1920x1080, feels amazing when gaming, not so much when typing
Since we are on the subject of screens; is 1650 X 1050 good for a 22"
While fairly unrelated, PersonGuy should post his gigantic tv here
i have a Sharp 37" Lcd tv for monitor and i sit about 2meters back:D
Since we are on the subject of screens; is 1650 X 1050 good for a 22"
It's standard.
