They finally ran out of colors.
why not make it for 3DS?
"You can get extra Pokémon in B&W V2 by playing Dream Radar, where you capture the critters from the world around you. Nintendo hasn't confirmed how much this eShop download will cost." AKA DLC?

...Good thing I didn't bother to pick up any of the new Pokémon games, the anime won't do good anyways
Pokemon games has been stagnating for a long time now, and new pokemon that they come up with are worse and worse with each generation. First generation was great, second was good, third was tolerable after that it all just went to shit. Black/White is particularly guilty of being a shoddily designed game. Pretty much the only Pokemon you fight for the first 30min of the game are: 1) A rat named Patrat 2) A small dog named Lillipup 3) A cat named Purrloin Amazing variety. They even managed to buttfuck that classic think in Pokemon games where your rival always takes a Pokemon that's strong against yours (Fire is you took Grass for example) by giving you a high level Pokemon for free during the first 30 min of the game that is strong against your rival, removing all challenge and pretenses of tactics from the game. It also haven't evolved gameplay-wise a bit. I know Nintendo aren't big on new concepts but at least Mario and Zelda game feature some new ideas. [editline]28th June 2012[/editline] Yes, I am bitter, thank you very much.

It looks like you're judging the whole thing based on the first 30 minutes of the game.
Goddamnit, it's not V2, it's a sequel, not a remake.
Beedrill, Rattata, Sandshrew, Zubat, Psyduck, Ponyta... I can keep going.
The thing is that: 1) They mostly had distinct but appealing visual design, while the new Pokemon (at least the ones you meet during the first 30-60 minutes of the game) are just discolored animals with messy sprites. 2) There was a variety in Pokemon that you meet for each zone. Unlike Black/White where you only meet 3 Pokemon during first 30 min.
It looks like you're judging the whole thing based on the first 30 minutes of the game.
Yes, I am. Have you ever heard of "magic curve"? All entertainment, be it a movie, a show or a game is supposed to start with a "hook" to draw you in. That like, Game Design 101 and Pokemon White/Black's designer seems to have been skipping his design classes. The Interface requires more button presses to do the same things, even though they've got a touch screen now. They added even more "boss" fights jump out of the fucking hedges that you can't prepare for. The buttfucked all tactics by basically giving you two high level Pokemon at the start that counter everything you meet. I could go on listing awful design decisions.
why not make it for 3DS?
It looks like they'd already been developing it since before the 3DS came out, though I myself would've preferred it for the 3DS
Goddamnit, it's not V2, it's a sequel, not a remake.
"Version 2" is part of the official title, though http://www.pokemonblackwhite.com/pokemon-black-and-white-2/#en-us/home

I don't mind the different generations of Pokemon but I do wish they would mix up the gameplay somehow to get me excited for once. The more 3D perspective was a nice touch but I think they have room do more interesting things with the formula of the gameplay.
These are just meant to be the yearly-pokemon-release filler. Next year we're meant to be in for some good 3DS stuff.
I could go on listing awful design decisions.
Personally, I found B&W to have many good design decisions, it was the most straight up enjoyable Pokemon game I have played to date.
"Version 2" is part of the official title, though http://www.pokemonblackwhite.com/pokemon-black-and-white-2/#en-us/home
By that logic I can say after Call of Duty came Call of Duty version 2. (but seriously you can say that about MW) The source you cited does not mention anywhere of a "version", it's Shacknew's and it's lack of competent editors that are to blame for that. It's a sequel, like DevilMayCry2 is to DevilMayCry, GranTurismo2 to GranTurismo, end of story.
"You can get extra Pokémon in B&W V2 by playing Dream Radar, where you capture the critters from the world around you. Nintendo hasn't confirmed how much this eShop download will cost." AKA DLC?
And I remember when Nintendo said they weren't going to do DLC.
why not make it for 3DS?
Because more people have a DS.
Because more people have a DS.
Yeah I'm not going to buy another handheld because it adds 3d. Waste of money if you ask me, DS ain't broke so I don't see why it needed fixing.
I've been calling them Super Black and White. But I'm getting them regardless.
Black and White 2 are the only main series Pokemon games I don't really want to get that much, partially because I've yet to finish white and also because of the main character's ridiculous hat/hairstyle/wetsuit apparently? [t]http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/7/74/Black_2_White_2_Kyouhei.png[/t] it's like he's got inverted socks or something, or he's wearing long-johns 2 sizes too small for some reason

You couldn't run a 3DS game on a DS even without the 3D.
I really liked the black version 1. Looking forward to it, since Game Freak tries to make some things different with this generation.
why not make it for 3DS?
I guess, because they don't want the people who played the first versions on the DS forcing to buy a 3DS to play the direct sequels of it.
Black 2 and White 2 are being praised a lot overseas, and by some importers here. It automatically becomes the best entry in the series when, if you run out of repel while walking around, the game asks you "want to use another repel?" without you having to go searching through your bag.
Maybe you're too old.
Bah, kids these days. In my time we wore baggy clothes.
[thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/27431030/1311827262835.jpg[/thumb] I love this image.
Thank you very much. And this concludes this episode of "the new pokemons look like shit" show. And by the way, there are TONS of 1st gen pokemons that look boring as fuck, and always have looked. The 2nd gen felt like a HUGE improvement, while also having its "not so amazing" or interesting pokemons. It happens. Its a matter of tastes, but saying a whole gen sucks and the 1st is the best is being ridiculous.
