• Windows 7 installation destroyed by virus

I accidentally downloaded a virus onto my pc today and after a few hours I've got it running without dying on me. However all my drivers are gone along with my system restore points. I am unable to access the Internet or repair with a disc as don't have one. What would be the best course of action to take out from this point?
The easiest solution is probably just bombing the drive and installing again. You could try to salvage data through a Linux distro or something.
I can still backup my shit, it still runs its just been ravaged (important things in the system have gone missing) I'll probably end up reinstalling windows if I can get my hands on a windows 7 disc.
You could also do a malwarebytes scan. Should take most, if not all. You could probably need a new installation anyway.
What is the name of said virus?
What is the name of said virus?
Didn't take note of it, I did a boot-scan with Avast and I think it is gone because before it was spewing a bunch of fake system errors.
