Hey, I've got a few questions about backups and a few hardware questions for my server pc:
I'm looking for a way to backup my main SSD every week or so automatically.
Whats the best way to back up an SSD? - I've heard there is such a thing as a progressive backup which will only backup files with changes
Should I backup to another SSD or a HDD? - I'm pushing for a silent pc and I feel like a HDD would ruin this
Does the computer need to be restarted in order for it to backup the main drive?
What programs can auto backup every (x) days?
I know a bit about backing up however I just want to make sure I make the right choice for this, any extra info will be greatly appreciated
how many GB are you looking at backing up?
My SSD is 240gb, but I'll only probably fill 90gb to 130gb ish

Why do you want to back up the entire drive?

Incase it dies, I've already had one SSD fail on me.
I use SyncToy + Windows Task Scheduler to back up specific folders daily at 6AM, but if you really want to back up the entire drive then you could probably schedule system image backups.
Hard drives don't make much noise at all in a proper case that has noise-deadening (look for "silent" cases). Just make sure you get a decent quiet power supply and a big honking CPU cooler if you're going for silent.

I've got a computer already set up, its almost inaudible, 200mm fan on the front, 120 on the cpu cooler, and a be-quiet psu. I'm hoping to keep it as quiet as possible.
I'll have a look into SyncToy and see if I can find anything useful out of it.
Thanks
I use LiveDrive, have been for 3 years or so. You could also raid the drive with another one, raid 1. Not sure if you want to be spending much money though.
