• Are these gpu's something to laugh at?

Just thinking about putting two of these ATI HIS 6770's in my future rig... (850w) Considering to play bf3 and all that lovely stuff, and possibly overclock - are two of these cards dumb? Edited: Consider the memory is about 4800mhz and the core clock is 850mhz, why not? http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1225&products_id=17749
Buying two at the same time? That's a complete waste. Get a high end GPU to begin with, and then SLI that if you need it.
What naos said. It's always much better to buy 1 card that is at the same or slightly lower performance than a crap card in SLI/Crossfire.
This is much better value than two 6770's: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125401
Not to mention that 5XXX is old gen. This would probably suit your needs. Unless, of course, you'd like to amp up the power to a 6970/90, but that's quite a bit more than 2 5770s. If you aren't fully decided on AMD, I'd suggest this Aw, wasn't expecting to have my merge broken. A 560 would also work, but if you're willing to shell out an extra $80, it'd be worth it in the long run.
Yes but despite being old gen, they still have the same GPU clock and roughly the same memory as the GTX 560 Ti ...so, whats am i missing?
You can't compare GPU's by clock speeds.
How do i know if its technically better then?
How do i know if its technically better then?
By model names. Hard to explain, but with nvidia a 560 is better than a 460, but a 520 is worse than a 460.
so a GTX 560 ti shits all over 2 6770s? Just to confirm - Can i put this MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC 1GB (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=16578) Into this - EP45-UD3L Mobo http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3285#sp EP45-UD3L mobo bump
Yes you can.
cheers
