There is something wrong when a game puts out too much shit for pre-orders.
Like it might be suggesting we wouldn't buy it after it is released to the public?
rts dlc perks
and we're off to a good start
(assuming they'll release the commanders as DLC)

The commanders themselves seem not one bit different from the doctrines of regular CoH.
Isn't there gonna be a cash shop or something?
Perhaps the commanders are merely cosmetic? Like the Tiger 205 from the first game?
two new multiplayer commanders for each army

but the commanders are a little more interesting as they bring new tactical possibilities to the game.
On the Soviet side, a new Anti-Infantry Tactics Doctrine introduces flamethrower tanks, while the Conscript Support Tactics Doctrine allows for much faster troop reinforcement. The German army gets a Joint Operations Doctrine, which allows for precise artillery strikes, as well as the Offensive Spearhead Doctrine, which Sega say is "for players who want to use heavy armor and airstrikes to crush their opponent." Sounds very Blitzkrieg to me.
The article doesn't clarify well, but it looks like those doctrines are related to the commanders, in which case that's total bullshit, as gameplay elements, especially in a mp rts, should never ever be limited.
Perhaps instead of releasing them as DLC they'll just be unlocks you've to grind for (or pay for hoho), which I'm also against, gameplay unlocks or perks in rts games make no sense, it's stupid, you should be able to use every tactic at your disposal from the beginning.
Cosmetic stuff is totally fine but that's just annoying.
Oh god, it has KV-1's.
World of Tanks ahoy.

Just to make you think about it before forking over your money
I realize it's TB, but that doesn't change the fact that he has some good points. Also, this was before the whole SimCity deal, so that's even more reason to wait.
If the commanders are like COH1's doctrines then this is absurd. I'm real sick of this pre-order exclusive thing.
