• Friend's Drifitng Montage - Looking for suggestions for this WIP
    18 replies, posted
Doing a drifting tribute for my friends car since now he sold it. It's WIP but I was curious to hear some sweet ideas from the people of FP? Any special effects or transitions that work good with a car video, because I have only edit game montages this is a bit more difficult for me. Very short since I had only taken about an hour on it and will continue tomorrow after I see some suggestions from here.
Not enough neons and huge spoilers and girls wearing hardly anything.
Seeing as you only edit game montages, I thought your first instinct would be to put every single filter on it.
Needs more wubwubwubwub

stopped watching when i saw the first thing was a head unit. knew it would be terrible.
I was a better drifter in my dodge neon.
I clearly put SUGGESTIONS in the title, not asking you what you guys fucking think but what more I can do. Jesus Christ some kids on here are fucking dumb.
Do something unusual like drifting in a people carrier.
I was expecting a game montage. Also needs more explosions.
He drifted around in a circle. I've done that in my mom's station wagon.

Use shorter shots. Not to long.
Get a real car.
Whatsup with the really long black screen with just music? Fill that shit up.
I thought the beginning was good with the close-ups, but you really need more light. The footage is too dark and grainy. Also you should've mixed it up a bit by having him do a larger variety of drifts around different obstacles and locations. Do close-ups on the wheels as they turn and some slow-motion shots. I don't if you were going to re-shoot this but if you are that is my suggestions. Special effects won't look any good on that grainy footage.
Decided to actually watch the video. Wow, "drifting" in circles in a car park. Uber cool. Super pro. Drifting is a sport that's trying to reclaim it's name. It's currently got a fairly bad reputation due to all the chavs who spin their first RWD cars around roundabouts and act like complete cocks in their cars. Videos like this do not make it look better. If your friend really loves drifting, he'd take the video down, pay for a track day, drift it up in a track, and take off the stupid music too. Oh, and if he's got some "supa sick boot build init", remove that too, as it's unnecessary weight and also changes the car's weight balance for the worst. Cheers.

Guys, he was asking for tips on how to edit the video, not on how to drift
