Looking to buy a vape (250 - $350 price range) No magic flight box suggestions please

Title explains it, anyone with some experience want to walk me through it?
I know the more expensive ones have glass components, and that there are two main ways of heating it (convection conduction) and it's AC or battery powered
I would prefer one with the better heating methods and it doesn't need to be portable, a display would be nice. Also I hope this is worth it, never used a vape before aside from an ecig
I seriously just signed on facepunch to check to see what everyones' opinions on good tabletop vapes in that price range are so good you made this thread 8 mins before I signed on haha
Currently scopin the arizer extreme Q
I see there is a thread on vapes, might go there
Personally I wouldn't recommend the Silver Surfer. Too much work. You have to hold the hose to the base the whole time and the quality of vapor with any other adapter than the original will be sub par. You can pay $15 for a metal clip to hold it on, but still a hassle each time. My 2 cents
I've heard some suggestions that they're good, but fair enough I will keep that in mind. I've read enough about it I just need first hand experience like you said, it has to be the bomb shiggity nigger nugget if I'm going to pay that much for it

I personally, have a Pax. Discreet, portable, and battery life is pretty good. Quit smoking because it was causing too many health issues.
After experiencing vaporizing, you'll never go back to combustion. You won't be sorry, bro.
Yeah that's why I want to stop smoking my lungs are fucked
Vaping is nice, but I cant do it all the time personally. I use it mostly when I'm sick or when Im feeling like having a bag sesh. I have a volcano, I got it used for an awesome price about 200 bucks. You can find them on ebay for 300-400. They are pretty solid units.
Is it really worth buying a second hand one?
Well it's definitely not worth the 500-700 new price.
The volcano a great vape, but if I didnt buy this one my second choice would be a 7th floor vape (SSV, LSV, da buddah). Even though mine is used I dont think anything of it, it works and looks as if it is new.
Pax for portability, Extreme Q if you're looking for a decent sit-down vape. Obviously there's the Volcano, but if you don't have the money for it the EQ is a more than suitable replacement
I can vouch for getting a second hand volcano. it's a really great thing to have since once it heats up you can keep filling bags like a digital nail
Have you heard about the Magic Flight Launch Box? Shit seems pretty legit

Don't fuck with me nigger, I herd they suck

Right, chiming in.
Have you used a launch box? I'm guessing not.
Heck, I'm not saying they're the best product out there... but for $80 or so with a lifetime warranty plus the simplicity of the device, they can't be beat.
I have a PAX, Arizer Extreme Q and a Pinnacle Pro.
What do I use daily? Two launchboxes.
Why? Because they just work. Pax is nice and simple, but MASSIVE chamber and ridiculously inefficient. Extreme Q is awesome for home use. Pinnacle Pro? Fuck, it broke after 3 weeks and they haven't bothered with my warranty claim.
The MFLB is like the Kalashnikov of vaporizers. It just works.
I use my two every single day and they've yet to skip a beat.
Like you care anyway, you *heard* they suck.

Good thing I have personal experience with it so I can tell you you're wrong. Not that you'll see this post.
I have the DaVinci ascent. Super nice, imho. It's got a ceramic chamber that leads into an easy-to-clean glass tube that can be extended or shortened, depending on what you prefer. The temperature can be easily adjusted, the display is nice, the battery lasts a long time, and it's easy to transport and be discreet with if you have slightly larger than average hands.
I can't speak on the PAX, but I have heard really good things about it. My experience has been nothing but positive with the DaVinci though.
I used to have a DaBuddha whip vape. It was fantastic until some moron fucked up the heating element

I can see it
I talked to someone in a smoke shop and they say that flight boxes are bought more often than not by newbies to vaping, and they aren't particulary good (ie they smoke sometimes, inconsistent heating)
but if you like it fair enough there is just no way I'm buying a portable vape
For $80 it will get you very high. It's really only for one person though. You can't share it, and if you do it has a fat learning curve and your dumb friends will torch it
Anyone used an arizer q? That's an option
You could also pick up a used volcano for $300. Check out glass.nuggetry.com for a marketplace

I have been told from a number of people, online and in person. Ultimately it doesn't matter b/c I have no interest in buying a portable vape, portability means bringing drugs along with you everywhere. I have no need for that

at this rate I probably will get a used volcano, and I doubt my friends will get to use it much
also you can make a tower of bags that goes up to your ceiling
it's beautiful
it's whack I still haven't used one
I have smoked pot since 14 and I've smoked like, five blunts and never vaped, also I have never got properly high off edibles

Nah, I said they work not that I like them. Personally I hate the fucking things. But they work.

we've been using the MFLB for a while now, on and off, the screen is too fragile, the batteries/charger are too easily fucked out of one component leading to the whole system not working and batteries are their specific, $10, two-set of batteries. I never really felt any strong influence while using it, but I always felt nice. It was more for a nice, clean, relaxation and with a gram, you could probably be good for up to a month if you weren't trying to get fucked up on it. The trenches use a considerably small amount to actually get feeling out of it, but to get STRONG feeling however... The curve between a nice feeling and high with the MFLB for us is very steep and inefficient. The learning curve wasn't really that steep, most of everyone we explained it to got it within the first time we explained it. For $80? Amazing purchase, and it's got a lifetime warranty, and while the process might be a little inconvenient and slow, you will get it, and of the same quality.
anybody who knows anything about buying a more than decent vape is going to avoid the MFLB
while it does Just Work™ it's basically babby's first vape until you can pull together enough of mommy's credit cards to buy something nicer. save the $80 bucks either way and use it towards a much better sit down vape
I just got a pax and I haven't looked back
Arizer Solo is a fantastic portable vape.
Get a Titan. It's a TRUE vaporizer around 40 bucks. Enough said, that beats any other vaporizer on the market because of it's affordability while still being a good, functional TRUE vaporizer with Solo or Pinnacle Pro quality.
the ago g5 is pretty nice if you've got a screen too. fucking 25 bucks for a full dry herb vape legit
also its interchangable with all those crazy addon parts for vapes people make, so you can just make a hella nice vape for like 60 less than you'd pay
