What the heck are you doing EA.
One step forward, and a leap back.
What they're doing is losing sales to Konami and PES.
And their excuse for it is bullshit too.
I don't really care for EA Sport's games' but this is such a scumbag move
thank god that filth wont be in a glorious pc
Retreating from the Wii U and PC market seems like a silly idea.
And then there was two?

They're still releasing the game for PC, it's just that it's going back to how it was 2 years ago.
The PC got the shitty, PS2 version of the game before. Now we'll be getting the "last gen" version again.
Wait, so is FIFA 14 going to not be released on PC? Or are they going to ship a separate version on the old engine?

They actually just came back to the Wii U.
Choke on my balls EA.
You're not getting money from me ever again unless you suddenly stop being an horrendous company. I'm not buying BF4.
Wait, so is FIFA 14 going to not be released on PC? Or are they going to ship a separate version on the old engine?
The latter.
I try to rectify their scumbaggery this way.
Without them telling Bethesda to fuck off after buying their football engine, Bethesda wouldn't of moved on to making more than sports game, and we wouldn't of gotton Elder Scrolls.
I can't wait until they announce that NBA Live 14 will use the Ignite Engine immediately before they announce the game's cancellation.
No, but seriously, EA, by refusing to update all versions of FIFA to the new engine, you're ruining the last playable sports series you're putting out
EA is a terrible company, hate them now. Same as Activision, it's all £££ now. Won't be buying any games from them unless they pick up.
It's alright, in less than a year of its release, the new one will be out, and shortly after that, nobody will be able to play this one online anymore
EA will probably claim PCs can't handle the Ignite Engine.
the first time in the history of video gaming where three big platforms use the same cpu architecture.
a wealth of claims by all developers stating that it will make porting a breeze.
ea somehow can't get a fucking sports game engine on the pc version. what.
Sports games seem to me like they can only really be enjoyed with a console and TV.
EA seems to have confused how to make customers like you with making customers dislike you.
EA will probably claim PCs can't handle the Ignite Engine.
They said on their twitter that, loose quote, "There are many different PC configurations out there" is the reason why it's not coming to PC.
Basically, they don't want to have to optimize it.
I don't get the reason why. Anyway, doesn't sport games sell way more on consolles?
Can somebody explain why they can't do it?
I cannot comprehend on why they think this is a good idea?
there's no trick. Ignite isn't powering it, plain and simple. (even if it's disappointing for you)
Yeah, well, fuck you.
Wait... people play the Fifa game using PCs?
I can totally understand why they wouldn't put it on PC, their PC market must be tiny compared to consoles.
-snip-
Wrong thread.
People still play FIFA?!

What are you on about , EA have always been terrible and after money. The only reason people thought EA were "nice" recently was because Activision turned out to be twice as bad as EA.

PES was always the better football game anyway. FIFA is just more popular because of aggressive marketing

It's a tiny market, but it's still a market. I play the FIFA games on PC. The tweet is worded quite oddly though, it could still be coming to PC but they might only have licencing to use "ignite engine" on consoles or something? I don't know. I love how they're bigging up this new engine though when I'm 90% certain it's just the old engine with some graphic improvements - they do this every year, making the game look vastly superior to the previous when usually the only difference is the teams and maybe a new minor mechanic.
