I'm excited to play KH3 on the 'bone but I'm a little bit sad I'll never get to play the rest of 'em. :(
I remember playing Kingdom Hearts 2 on PS2... Great game, sad that it isn't coming to PC
I got kingdom hearts 2 in a bargain bin at gamestop for less than $20. I didn't even really want it, I was just bored and everyone at the time was obsessed with this game...so my curiosity got the better of me.
Oh my god, my curiosity did not disappoint.
I'll gladly pay $40 to play the final mix edition on my PS3, I dumped over 200 hours into the base game, and I'll happily do it again when this damn thing finally comes out.
Pretty cool that Monstro is a boss now.
None of this is technically new since it's all Final Mix content being advertised, but for US players that never did imports (or questionably patched and burned/emulated the games) I suppose it would be entirely new content. Glad to see the guess about them voice-acting the new scenes, and not just leaving them undubbed/silent completely like with the 1.5 take on KH1FM, was correct.
Pretty cool that Monstro is a boss now.
Guess he's just a BBS final mix boss. Still, that was rather unexpected. I enjoy having those giant boss encounters that make you want to shit your pants. Alot of boss battles in god of war come to mind, and just about every fight in SotC.
Ugh come on square enix, you need to release this game sooner. Waiting till winter just sucks.

It's not exactly what you would call a good boss fight, though.
You know what annoys me to no end? The color changes on the enemies. What purpose does that serve? Some of the color changes don't even make any sense.

KH2FM might have an excuse for this, other FM games however do not. (I don't remember if they actually use the old colors though)
In KH2FM you have this place called Cavern of Remembrance, where you will need to fight harder versions of normal enemies which also have a different color palette.

I never really understood it either, I guess it was a means to go "HEY THIS ISN'T THE SAME EXACT GAME" but seeing a common enemy running around with a much brighter palette swap of sorts is pretty jarring.

This is really the only thing that really bothers me about 1.5, and 2.5. It's really just the compilation of Final Mix changes into a port holding the content that US players never got. If you actually played Final Mix, nothing is really that 'new' except maybe Birth By Sleep on console.
I'm not really sure how well they revised the visuals outside of the color swapping that came with Final Mix versions anyway. I was kind of hoping they would have done a little better on the "HD" part, and taken better advantage of seventh-generation hardware, but that's just me. Still interesting I guess.

Besides the extra content it also uses better textures/shaders and of course that you have it all on PS3 instead of having all these games spread across multiple devices.
If you want all 1.5 and 2.5 games you would need a PS2, PSP, DS and a Gameboy Advance.
All in all its a pretty deal. And about the HD thing, i doubt they will have the original, high quality textures from 2005 or are willing to retexture a large part of the game :v:
