Ebosse, who was 24, was declared dead after being taken to hospital in Tizi Ouzou, east of the capital Algiers. The JS Kabylie striker, who had scored in a 2-1 home defeat by USM Alger, was hit when spectators started throwing objects from the stands as the teams left the pitch at full-time.
The object in question was apparently some pavement.
Oh great, more idiots losing their shit when their teams lose. What ever happened to 'it's not how you win or lose but how you play the game?'
Oh great, more idiots losing their shit when their teams lose. What ever happened to 'it's not how you win or lose but how you play the game?'
"My team is better than yours!" "Why is that?" "Because we won!" that's what happened
I really don't understand why people go full apeshit when their team loses like holy shit they act like angry cavemen
I really don't understand why people go full apeshit when their team loses like holy shit they act like angry cavemen
I hear it's worse in Scotland, they go ape-shit when they WIN, too. Same for Los Angeles.
I hear it's worse in Scotland, they go ape-shit when they WIN, too.
no its fine
I hear it's worse in Scotland, they go ape-shit when they WIN, too. Same for Los Angeles.
We (LA) only riot if we win basketball tournaments, which hasn't really happened in a while.

Over a game of fucking football, how sad.
I hear it's worse in Scotland, they go ape-shit when they WIN, too. Same for Los Angeles.
A lot of places do that. Look at Brazil for football and Canada for hockey.

Are they going through any effort to find the culprit? If there were cameras it could be possible I think.
This is why I hate sports. Not because of the sports themselves, but of the drooling mouth-breathing Neanderthal fanatics, who are obsessed with this bullshit that does nothing to affect their lives either way.
Such a tragic loss of life. It's hard to believe people can get so caught up in the moment that they lose any rational thought and decide hurling objects is a good idea. I'm hoping the person responsible for the assault did not intend to kill this man.
Are they going through any effort to find the culprit? If there were cameras it could be possible I think.
They started an investigation so it's fair to say they're looking for the guy. Also it's not really that important but apparently what triggered the whole thing was the guy scoring a goal against his own team. Someone in this crowd murdered a dude because of a mistake that's very common in sports.
Oh great, more idiots losing their shit when their teams lose. What ever happened to 'it's not how you win or lose but how you play the game?'
Sportsmanship is one thing but the whole point of a competition is to see who can win, AKA "who plays the game better."
Sportsmanship is one thing but the whole point of a competition is to see who can win, AKA "who plays the game better."
That doesn't give a fan the license to go apeshit and start rioting if their teams lose. I'm well aware of the point of competitions, but winning isn't everything.

Agreed that people who's only tie to the team being liking them rioting is ridiculous.
