• Nvidia Optimus does not work properly with C&C3 KW

I've had lots of problems with shitty Optimus before, but this is one I can't solve myself. Normal C&C3 runs automatically on Nvidia GT555M card, but Kane's Wrath does not. When I manually tell it to run on Nvidia card it still runs with integrated one. Only way I can play KW properly is to set Nvidia card as globally preferred GPU, but that's not a solution. Help? [Editline]Edited[/Editline] I have latest non-beta drivers.
Open the game, check your task manager, look for the process. Open NVIDIA add it to the custom list and set it to that GPU. Launchers etc do only get it for that program alone.

Help?
.dat a program? sounds like securom. Is there an exe like clokspl.exe in the program folder?
.dat a program? sounds like securom. Is there an exe like clokspl.exe in the program folder?
It has Securom indeed, but it does not have that .exe there. What baffles me is that normal Command Conquer 3 works absolutely fine.
You shouldn't rate disagree when you actually agree with him... Anyways Option A: Use the "extended desktop" feature with the secondary monitor set to the GPU (this fools the system into believing it is running on the default but does not apparently work all the time) Option B: Right click on the exe of the game and select "run through high performance Nvidia processer" (but you will have to do that every time you play it) Option C: Make everything run through your dedicated graphics card, if you don't want it all the time you can just disable it when you're done.
You shouldn't rate disagree when you actually agree with him...
I disagreed about clokspl.exe part. Sorry if it was confusing.
Option A: Use the "extended desktop" feature with the secondary monitor set to the GPU (this fools the system into believing it is running on the default but does not apparently work all the time)
I have used this solution previously with Red Alert 2 when it did not want to show menu buttons. This time it did not work. But I want to launch it trough Steam and get its benefits. :(
Option C: Make everything run through your dedicated graphics card, if you don't want it all the time you can just disable it when you're done.
I used this before making this thread. It's tedious to do every time I want to play it, but it seems to be the best solution currently. Do you have any other solutions in mind or do I really need to manually make my dedicated card globally preferred every time I want to play?
Hmm, what about try running Steam with NVIDIA?
