Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff has said she is proud of the tens of thousands of people who have taken to the streets to demand better education, schools and transport.
"My government is listening to the voices calling for change," said Ms Rousseff in her first comments since Monday night's demonstrations.
Some 10,000 people gathered in Sao Paulo on Tuesday for a new protest.
Scuffles broke out with police outside the office of Mayor Fernando Haddad.
Talk about missing the point.
Someone should remind her that the reason they're on the streets is because of her choices. You don't say "yay, good job fighting against the shit I did", you say "you know what, maybe I should fix the shit I did".
At least she's got better PR than Erdogan's "ur all terrorists!!"
if the government were actually listening they wouldn't be on the streets don't you think?
but those soccer stadiums need some renovating...
Says the woman behind 50 tons of security.
i think she is trying to pull what american politicians pulled with the occupy movement.

When you stop making connections between a fictional game about a drunk ex-cop that knows how to shoot 20 guys while in air and real life.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I'm just sick of people thinking Brazil as Max Payne 3 showed it, it was kinda right, but not totally.

When it gets personal
oh fuck off
she's one of the biggest reasons of the protests, and also the symbol many protesters use to symbolize everything they're fighting against
10,000 people today? i went there and we had at least 80,000.

No problem about it at all, it's just hard to ignore it sometimes.

This is something interesting about how many people were out these days of protests
(yes, it's in Portuguese, I know, but it's easy to understand anyway)
I doubt there were less than 80k people on the streets of São Paulo protesting today, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a lot more than 80k.

Brazil isn't a dictatorship, you know. Not saying she's blameless because she certainly isn't, but I dislike it when people dictate the entire workings and status of a country based on the president alone.

I know. She IS being a hypocrite, but she isn't ENTIRELY to blame.
