• Keyboard becoming more and more sticky

No, it is not what is sounds like, and this is not a gimmick thread. I spilled a little bit of tea on my laptop awhile back, and it slowly has become more and more harder to use, being that the fucking keys are like so hard to press. This happened to a previous laptop, and kept washing the keyboard, but it just went back to sticky. This is ridiculous, can anyone suggest good keyboard cleaner? And I don't want comments like "take better care of your keyboard", I do, mistakes happen.
stop beating off on it [editline]08:56PM[/editline] in all seriousness though, remove it from your computer, take it apart, and run water over it for a few minutes. Let it dry out completely (overnight should be good) before you plug it back in.
Stop cuming on it

You could get a USB keyboard, I got a small one thats like 17-18" laptop size could have that seperate or one top of normal keyboard

I used a USB keyboard, USB mouse and an External Screen, on my laptop Then it died.
I wish it was that easy, but this is a laptop keyboard.
there are usually screws on the underside to release the keyboard
I used a USB keyboard, USB mouse and an External Screen, on my laptop Then it died.
So you basically used your laptop as a desktop?
So you basically used your laptop as a desktop?
eventually yes, it was a perfectly working laptop until it started overheating and i had to use it on a cooling stand on desk. Decided that a mouse is better than touchscreen, then the screen broke because of someone dropping it, so i used an external monitor. Then eventually I just used it closed and had a keyboard for it. Stupid laptop.
So you basically used your laptop as a desktop?
I do that too when I'm at home. I hook it up to my tv, and hook up a keyboard and mouse.
Cotton buds and alcohol based substance (deodorant, vodka, anything, really).
The keys are normally removable, slide something flat like a blade under each key and lift up, it should pop off. As for those who say take it apart and wash it, don't, many keyboards are a right pain in the ass to put back togeather.
Lay off the masturbation. I know I'm late. See if you can take off the keyboard and run water on it/ take out the keys to wash them.
The keys are normally removable, slide something flat like a blade under each key and lift up, it should pop off.
Probably best not to do that with a laptop keyboard, brah.
yeah those scissor switches are a bitch to get back on
If its at all possible to remove the keyboard and clean it that'll be your best bet. Otherwise just use cotton swabs or Q-tips maybe? Just whatever you do give it time to dry.
yeah those scissor switches are a bitch to get back on
this, i once popped a key off to look at the switch and it took me about half an hour to get back on
Isn't there a way to send it in to get it cleaned? I'm not patient to clean each key at a time.
Stop eating Gushers when you type :hurr: /thread
I'd say sending it to the manufacturer is worth a shot. Just don't tell them how you jizzed on it. [editline]06:25PM[/editline] I mean, spilled tea on it.
You can usually pop the plastic top of the key pretty easily, and all it requires to get back on is for you to press it on. Just leave the scissor switches alone. I'd try removing all the keys and wiping it with alcohol wipes or something. Hell, you could probably just use a damp tissue.
Are the keys stuck to your fingers or are they like, stuck to the laptop, as in, you can't push them down.
Are the keys stuck to your fingers or are they like, stuck to the laptop, as in, you can't push them down.
Obviously it is the latter otherwise he would have cleaned it off already.
Speaking of sticky keyboards, last night I came on my keyboard.
For laptop keyboards I would give up and check ebay for a new one.
Speaking of sticky keyboards, last night I came on my keyboard.
One time, I was fapping, and then I stopped looking at my monitor and looked at my Mac, because it was so beautiful. I should cum on it, take a picture and post it on /g/. [editline]12:19AM[/editline] O, also, I just got a mouse for my laptop, and am getting a keyboard, and will be putting it on a stand so I'll be using it like a desktop. And I'm gonna hook up a second monitor. [editline]12:20AM[/editline] The real pain is how every time I have to take it somewhere, all the wires fall behind my desk.

They all make a loud thump when I unplug my MacBook to move it.
