• New Netbook in German

Recently bought a new netbook, works fine. Only problem is everything is in German, looking up different ways to do it all point to going to the Control Panel to change it. Tried that and it turns out that the option to change the display language isn't there. So if anyone knows what to do...please help! And I already know that the English mui is installed, because I can uninstall it, i just can't change it. Running Windows 7 Starter...Yea i know it sucks
Reinstall it, choosing English as the language.

What kind of netbook is it? I'm able to run Windows 7 Home Premium on an Acer Aspire One (zg5) just fine.
You can't unless you reinstalll. Quoted from Windows help.
The Display language section will only be visible if you have already installed an LIP or if your edition of Windows supports an MUI. MUIs are only available in Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise.
Well, I have a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium from a different computer, so i am going to try to upgrade it to that and hopefully it will be in English.
New solution: learn German.
New solution: learn German.
This would be a lot more badass to be honest.
Where'd you buy it from?
Where'd you buy it from?
Probably Germany. Or eBay.
Deutsch ist sehr schön.
Is it an HP? A bunch of my friends who bought HP netbooks wound up having it come in Dutch or German.
Okay so Do this Click the start button Systemsteuerung -> Windows Update -> click "35 Optionale Updates sind verfügbar" -> click "Sprachpacket für English" -> install the update -> do this:
Go into Windows Update and you should be able to get into optional updates. In there are language packs. Download the English one and apply it? [editline]08:47PM[/editline] :ninja:
