I've been listening to Pendulum alot recently, and I wanna broaden my horzions of music, so DnB is a genre i'm getting into, with Pendulums help, but I wanna not just listen to the most obvious one.
Who are good DnB bands I should listen to?
spor
noisia
evol intent
dieselboy
ewun
the upbeats
that should get you started
also the Qemists
The Prodigy
The Crystal Method
Venetian Snares

+ Chase and Status
Prodigy and Pendulum are pretty the only dnb bands i listen to. Going to try out other bands mentioned.
My enthusiasm for DnB began with Pendulum, however, I realised they were shit after I heard other producers. I did this through iTunes podcasts. Try listening to the "Hospital Podcast". The thing that helped me find producers the most was friends and community. If you want, you can PM me your msn, so I could suggest you some particular tracks :). However, here's a list of artists as you requested.
Jump-Up (fast, bass-heavy)
Spor
Heist
Dj Hazard
Shufunk
Original Sin
Darkstep (heavy-hitting, drum-heavy)
Noisia
Zardonic
Sentient-Code
Liquid (light, melodic, atmospheric)
Netsky
Camo & Krooked
Brookers Brothers (prob wrong spelling)
Minimal (mindfucking, little bass/atmosphere)
Bop
I should of mentioned the The Prodigy, I knew them aswell. I'll check out the suggestions you gave.
Search youtube for ukfdrumandbass and listen to the stuff on there for a good selection of dnb artists.
I never really thought Prodigy were DnB...

more hardcore Techno

Never do that, ever. The sound quality is incredibly shit - they just rip youtube vids most of the time. Liquicity is very good channel for liquid, QuantumDNB is a good channel for dubstep.
check the youtube icon under my name, I've made quite a few mixes, featuring both DnB and Dub - you might like them.
make sure you have everything by noisia and spor
Speedfalcon you seem to know your shit, what's your opinion on The Qemists? I seem to be the only person who's mentioned them so far. Is there like a stigma attached to them? or is it just because they aren't well known?
Renard
Adraen
NegaRen
others from LapFox Trax
The Prodigy is fucking ace but a lot of their stuff are more breakbeaty than dnb'y. Still, check out Experience and Music for the Jilted Generation, their best albums imo.

I think they are too mainstream for the scene to care. I've not once seen any of their songs in a mix that also involved some of the more underground artists.

Also, Hardly anyone considers The Prodigy as DnB, I do believe they follow a sub genre of techno.
Have a look at Hospital Records' line up. A lot of their guys are really good.

They've got Netsky.
Obvious monopoly is obvious :)
also the Qemists
This.

Also, DJ Fresh. Specifically, the Pendulum remix of Submarines. It's epic.
The Prodigy is not drum and bass. Sorry, I had to get that out there.
Pendulum is only drum and bass for anything before In Silico, sans Ransom. It's more electronica now than anything.
The only drum and bass bands I know are The Qemists, Shapeshifter and Evol Intent.

I knew it!
I think posting a huge wall of producers isn't very helpful. I'd recommend OP to get the High Contrast - This is Drum & Bass mix. Helped me find a lot of awesome producers.
After me and a FPer talked, we found out the only sub genre of DnB I like is Liquid.
