• My Mum Has No Friends

Today was a very funny day. I woke up it was raining, I pulled myself out of bed and into my wheelchair. I wheeled down the hall. My Mother was crying in the kitchen, and as soon as she saw me she stopped crying. She does this a lot. Everytime I ask her why she is crying she just ignores me. "Morning Dominic," she said, wiping the tears from her eyes, "what would you like for breakfast today?" I don't bother even asking her why she was crying today, I knew if I asked her she would ignore me. "Bacon, please." I say. She went and got the bacon from the fridge and the pan. She was still sniffing. "Any plans for today, Mum?" I asked. "No." She then burst out crying. She went in the corner and starts crying. This was bad. She is never this bad. Reluctantly I ask her what's wrong. To my surprise she tells me. She stands up and walks over to the table where my chair is at and grabs my hand. She tells me that ever since my Father died (car crash, we were all in it. Because of this I am paraplegic.) she has been very lonely and she only stays at home because she doesn't want to go outside. She tells me that the world has been too hard on her and she needs someone else in her life. I asked her the typical 'what about me' question and she got mad. She blamed me for her having no friends and her always having to look after me. According to her, she wishes I wasn't who I was. After screaming at me, she goes down the hall into her room. She hasn't been out since. What should I do? I think she has forgotten how to socialise with people, she never goes outside. I think I can be fully dependent of myself now in my state, it's been 7 months since the accident. I reckon I can look after myself fine. What's an activity that she can do where she can socialise with people and will get her back into the world?
Why did she blame you? Maybe she's just having a mid-life crisis..
You linked her to Facepunch yet? Give me her email and I'll do it for you.
Tell her to socialize with your friends parents or something.
Why did she blame you? Maybe she's just having a mid-life crisis..
I honestly have no idea why. She's never screamed at me before. Did I do something wrong?
Tell her to socialize with your friends parents or something.
She has no reason to blame you, the only reason she is blaming you is because you were the one constant in her life. She knows you aren't going anywhere, and she is taking complete advantage over you. She is taking out all of her depression and rage on you. It's not fair, but it's life. The best thing to do is sit down and talk about it, let her know how you feel. And if she keeps on, just fucking leave.
This sure does make me feel real good about my life. (User was banned for this post ("Extensive trolling" - Hexxeh))
I feel sorry for your mother. Doesn't she work somewhere? Doesn't she have work relationships?
I honestly have no idea why. She's never screamed at me before. Did I do something wrong?
You didn't, she probably didn't mean any of. It was more of a defence reaction.
You're paraplegic? Life must be tough for you... best wishes
Take her to a bar
Take her to a bar
In this case, him getting his mom shit faced and fucking her in the bathroom of a Wendy's won't solve all his problems.
This sure does make me feel real good about my life.
You know you are a really unfunny faggot, right?
OP, I want to give you a big hug because of that story :(
If she has social anxiety (like me) or just shy. Get her online and chat with people. Internet can also have good people in it.
According to her, she wishes I wasn't who I was.
"Give me your legs then, bitch." Nobody needs to hear that shit from a parent, no matter how much they're going through.
I'll be your mum's friend :smug:
Buy her a friend. [editline]20th November 2010[/editline] :glomp:
op is like that one character from MSPA can I have your autograph?
Tell her to socialize with your friends parents or something.
I don't really have any friends... and her parents died last year. I am sort of in the same boat in needing friends, I'm just putting her needs first.
I feel sorry for your mother. Doesn't she work somewhere? Doesn't she have work relationships?
She works from home on her computer. She actually pulls in a lot of money.
In this case, him getting his mom shit faced and fucking her in the bathroom of a Wendy's won't solve all his problems.
How the hell would the OP even manage that?
I feel for you man.
Become your mum's friend.
How the hell would the OP even manage that?
Great question. Go to any Wendy's in and around the Atlanta area and ask a date raped whore. :colbert:
I think she just said that but she didn't mean it. When people lose a loved one they are always looking for somebody else to blame. Give her time and help. She'll come around.
Have sex with her.
Have sex with her.
Stop being immature. My 8,000 post goes to OP and his mum .
