I have a mouse, a keyboard, a screen and sound system
just build me the best gaming PC you can for 2k
Will start on it.
Holy shit
Also, USD, right?
yeah
If you make it from scratch, you can make a computer that will last you forever.
I would buy a cheap-ish CPU and spend the money on a really good GFX card (or two), unless you want to play Crysis and GTA.
The graphics card I had in there went out of stock as I was about to publish the wish list, so give me a few more minutes and I'll have it up.

yeh, take advantage on that, if i was spending that type of money i would expect triple.
nice case pick anyway
edit: GPU out of stock BTW
Why not use triple channel memory?
Because that would require an lga 1336 board. This is an lga1156.
Triple channel has no performance gain over dual channel anyway.

That cooler has the Artic MX-2 pre-applied so you don't need to buy more of it.

True, I just always like applying fresh thermal paste every once in a while.
It's good to have if you want to keep your system running it's best.
I don't think he would need Win 7 Pro, and put a SSD in that monster

If you're in California or other states that gets ass raped by tax then I can make another build.
Jeeehesus, a 2k budget? I just built myself a hell of a fine gaming computer at 1 grand.
But if it's $2,000 you wish, then so be it. I wish I was rich like you.
I'll make you a build to compare to the ones posted. Also what resolution are you going to be playing at? Hell, 2560x1600?

If he has 2000 dollars for a computer doesn't mean he's rich. Maybe he saved up the money, maybe he's still living with his parents and pays no rent and such.
$2000 isn't that much money to make if you have a decent job
Ok sorry everyone. I'm just over here in minimum wage world so I must not know anything or am unable to give out complements. :downs:

4GB is more then enough for gaming. That's Quad Channel Ram. Dual Channel will give better speeds.
