My friend is making a space game for mobile platform (iPhone or something) and I'm doing the music. Going for a spacey/explorey vibe. The drum hits (except the bass drum) are all me tapping on stuff, or sounds I made with my mouth :v:
My friend liked this one the best:

Ambient droney thing

Oh come on, someone gimme some feedback instead of just rating me dumb please
I'm digging the first one. I like the vibe it gives off.
I love the style of the first one especially. The third one reminds me of something, but I can't place it.
Hm, the first three feel kind of retro. If that's what you're going for then great. If not, I do prefer the droney one actually. But I think you need to add some very basic percussion or more of a melody, maybe piano- something to give it more structure and progression.

Not sure what you mean by retro. Anyways the guy I'm doing the music for specifically wanted background ambience without percussion or melody.
First two are my favorites, I'd almost say out of all your music.
Hard to say though, all your shit is fucking ~rad~
Great songs man :)
The second one is my fav.

Thanks bro :) I appreciate the boxes too, now I can make a box fort
You're going to build a box fort with two boxes? Well...
Okay 1st song. I like it but I think it's too energetic and cheery to be a proper "epic mysterious awe-inspiring" space type of song. It's still good, but it's just the chords and the beat you're using are happy and nice in a quaint way. It's not too far off and it would still work but yeeh.
Second song I think is closer to the mark. Still a little upbeat but in this one I don't mind at all. I'm really digging it. At 2:40-:50ish that guitar/distorted synth or what-have-you is a little...simple...sounding for me. Like it's just someone picking a handful of notes and sustaining them. Not bad but I feel it was like a 7/10 instead of the usual 8.5-9/10 you're working at. During the breakdown I would have experimented with some subtle sustain on something to add a little but it's not like it's bad without it, just a suggestion.
3rd: What the fack kind of name is Murple? Haha, still I think it fits with the song, the fact that you're making sounds with your mouth is very obvious in this one. It's a little odd really but it doesn't take away too much for me. I also think the fading in and out that the synth you add at 1:30 is a little patent, maybe a little less of that, and a little less in the overall mix. Not bad again just ideas. Also some of the chords are weird. Shyah.
4: I'm digging this. I think you could add some complexity and keep a little more subtlety with things coming in and out, but this is nice stuff. At :38 and :56 or so the chord you're adding is kind of funny with the wav/freq overlapping in a weird way (gets you that wobbly feeling) and I just noticed your name for the first time WOLOLOLO. Anyways yeah, at this point my attention span is shot.
Tl;dr: Good work man, you have a funny name and keep it up. Not 100% perfect and maybe a tad off the mark but really good.
Thanks man, I appreciate some actual feedback for once. I'll definitely keep that stuff in mind. The chords in Murple are supposed to sound weird because it is supposed to be weird spacey music :v: The only mouth sound is actually the high hat, the rest is me tapping on stuff (like my keyboard)
Are you perhaps a fan of Boards of Canada?
The music itself is good, but I don't know if it fits the whole huge-spacey scenario you described. I may be wrong, since I haven't actually seen the game. I also noticed you used the same piano for every song(except the last one)? Maybe change it up a little?
The ambient tune fits the best imo.
Goddamn slowpunch
