I have a collective group of people, known exclusively as a family. I'm practically fine with just about any movie that anyone would like to watch, but they aren't.
Family Description:
Me (14 year old horror, drama, thriller preferred)
My sister (12 year old romantic comedy, drama, thriller preferred)
My mother (nearly 40 year old horror, thriller, drama preferred)
My step-father (nearly 40 year old horror preferred, loves The Descent).
My step-brother (12 year old comedy, thriller, action preferred).
Some of the members of the family have problems watching films with detailed gore and/or tense situations (some of the family had problems with the pitchfork scene in The Crazies). Which of the films here shall we watch.
Memento
Insomnia
Kick-Ass
1408
Memento or Kick-Ass. 1408 was terrible. Never seen Insomnia
I have never seen any of those films.
Kick ass.
Kick-ass, however the beginning's focus on how the protagonist masturbates a lot was unnecessary, and will be pretty awkward during that scene.
watch show girls
zombieland would be a good choice i think its a bit gorey though
does the film's rating matter? i'm assuming not since you listed kick-ass.
Don't watch a movie with anyone
Texas Chainsaw Massacer is always fun to watch with your parents and sibilings.
I hate picking movies for anyone. Especially friends.

In my experience, if you have more than two people watching, and if at least two of your friends haven't heard of the movie before, there is a 94% change of your friends talking over the whole film while stopping to complain that they want to watch something else. Or play video games.
