ok
Ditch the HAF 922 and get the Lian Li Lancool K62.
There we go. You'll be able to max any Valve game with that GPU. It can even play Crysis on high settings and still get 40+ FPS without AA. It even does 30+ FPS with 4xAA at 1280 x 1024 [editline]02:29AM[/editline]
Ditch the HAF 922 and get the Lian Li Lancool K62.
Posted a new build bro. First one wasn't Canadian.
ok thanks alot
No problem.
Posted a new build bro. First one wasn't Canadian.
You have to be kidding me. The Antec Three Hundred is quite possibly one of the worst cases I've ever worked with, next to the NZXT Alpha. Pros: -Fan mounts. -Acceptable build quality. Cons: -Terrible cable management. -Side panels are a pain to get on and off. -Doesn't come with as many fans as the K62. -Sharp edges. -Hard drives don't face the side panel (very obstructive when working in the case). The K62 is far superior in every way, even if it's more expensive.
well the case isnt very important i might even just keep the one a already own

The Antec 300 is probably the best budget case on this God damn planet, and you wanna try to bash it with this thing? http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112239&Tpk=K62 That's insanity man. I have personally seen, picked up, and worked with an Antec 300. They're built of sturdy material, have plenty of space for whatever the hell you want. There are no sharp edges in that case unless you make one yourself. Fan quantity doesn't mean shit. Fan quality is where it's at. The K62 is made of plastic and mesh. The Antec 300 is made of steel. It's beyond acceptable build quality. Is the side panel really hard to get off? Or are you just a sissy? When I asked my friend if I could look at the inside of his PC the panel slid right off like it was floating in the air.
i dont know if that really would mean having to change somthing there or not
well the case isnt very important i might even just keep the one a already own
You could do that and I could put the money from the case into a better CPU. What case would you use?
ya i guess you can do that if you dont mind
Well it depends if your case is compatible with the motherboard and is big enough. Do you know what case it is?
From what I've heard the Antec 300 is a good budget case, and the reviews are generally favourable. One alternative to the 300 which is in your price bracket is the Coolermaster Centurion 590. Here's a review of it: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CoolerMaster/Centurion_590/7.html
i dont know the brand all i know is that its a mid -tower
Really? The quality of the fans in the Antec were mediocre at best. They didn't really move an acceptable amount of air and they were quite loud. The Lian Li however has quality and quiet fans, not to mention a lot of them. I wouldn't be insulting Lian Li if I were you, otherwise you've just informed me that you know nothing about PC building. Your pathetic Antec 300 would never be able to hold a candle to my Lian Li Lancool PC-K7B. Plus, there's no way to route cables with the 300. All they give you is a giant hole for shoving all your excess cables instead of giving multiple holes to minimalize airflow constriction. That's the opposite with the K62 and PC-K7B.
my computer was custom built about 9 years ago so its really old and really slow [editline]09:52PM[/editline] like i said at the beginning this is my first build
my computer was custom built about 9 years ago so its really old and really slow [editline]09:52PM[/editline] like i said at the beginning this is my first build
Then your case probably won't work. I'd stick with the Antec 300.

Building a PC isn't as hard as its made out to be.
ok then i guess ill just get a new one then
I'd stick with the Antec 300.
The way I'm taking this is that you want him to suffer with a terrible case instead of recommending something of an acceptable standard.
anyway as long as all those components will make my computer run much faster more smothly and alow me to do atleast some gaming im fine [editline]09:58PM[/editline] i had previously been recomended this barebone kit but since im a newbie i really dont know wat do you guys think?? It will be plenty cool inside there. And further more the Antec 300 is on sale for $50. That's a steal! It's normally $90. Get out.

Don't do it.
