Would these two upgrades work with my current motherboard?

So I'm looking at upgrading my CPU and GPU, but keeping everything else.
The current motherboard I have is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131291
The GPU I want: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130550
The CPU I want: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103894
The CPU will work with a BIOS update (v 2202, to be specific)
but why don't you save yourself some money and get the 955

Awesome.
agreed with the 955
I also agree with the 955, it saves around 40 bucks for about the same performance (Same performance if you overclock).
the money you save can be spent on a heatsink to overclock the 955 and get even better performance than the 970
also the 955 has a combo that gets you -$10 on the CPU and you get a free eSATA bracket

What heatsink would you recommend if I get the 955? I currently have an old stock cooler
if you don't plan on overclocking stock is fine
