• Looking for new mouse 20 USD

My old HP cheapo wired USB mouse (which feels a lot better than my Logitech G9 for everything but gaming) finally died a few months after "fixing it." The problem was originally the wires frayed somehow and it shorted, leaving me to splice an old USB end on. Now that is starting to fail, I am looking for new mouse options for my laptop. I am not looking for anything over the top. Something 20 bucks or less should satisfy my needs. I am strongly considering a wireless mouse (after being a wired peripherals person for such a long time, I'm getting a bit fed up with the cables tangling, etc) as all these wires are pissing me off, but the receiver needs to be a low profile one in fear of a longer one breaking off. I have a few fears about wireless mice. One is that I hear there is a slightly longer response time when using them in compared with wired ones. The next is I am afraid the battery life will be too low and I'll be constantly changing them (I use my laptop nearly every day for multiple hours a day), and the last thing is that I am afraid I'd actually lose the mouse. It'd fall off a desk into the nether, lodged in something, or get stuck between the couch cushions, all with no pull string attached to retrieve it when I have no idea where it is. Anyone have any suggestions?
You want a wireless mouse for $20.00? You're not going to get anything good for :20bux:
Go with this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826105185 I bundle it with all the builds for my clients because it is cheap and reliable and from what I hear it has good tracking and is comfortable The only thing is that it isn't wireless But for wireless I have heard from many people that they like this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104073 Little over budget though

A lot on an Amazon search for Wireless mouse brings up a bunch in my price range. I just don't know which to get.
You might just go with this Lenovo Wireless Optical Mouse for $14.00. http://www.dealstudio.com/searchdeals.php?type=id&q=d238107&ru=28904900 It's on sale now. Amazing stuff for sure. It might worth u a peek. Hope it helps. Good luck.

I got some GM wireless mouse for $25. It's shit. Cheap wireless mice are.. well.. cheap. Just get a decent mouse like a Logitech or a Razer and that will last you a very long time.

It will treat you well.
except razer dont sell anything for like less than 60$
except razer dont sell anything for like less than 60$
I'm sure something from logitech could serve the same purpose for a lot cheaper, but I got this as a gift so I didn't have much of a choice.
Reposting my post from another mouse thread a few days ago: I've actually been reading up on mice recently since I'm tired of this mini-laptop mouse (was supposed to be temporary when my G500 broke but have been using it for half a year), and I game a lot so of course I was looking at good gaming mice. The surprising thing is that the WMO 1.1, Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical, which can be bought for less than $20, is the preferred mouse among the "top" gamers (in Quake at least), and that even several championships have been beaten using just the WMO. Some people even buy a newer gaming mouse like an MX518 or some Razer and switch back to the WMO. The Intellimouse 1.1 or 3.0 are also good, they have side buttons but weigh more and cost a tiny bit more. This is rapha, winner of the Intel Extremes Master Tournament. He's being sponsored by Steelseries, which make those super expensive gaming mice like the Xai, thus he could get one for free, but he chooses instead to play with a WMO with a Steelseries sticker on it. I just got a WMO 1.1 for about $20 from Staples and so far I love it. Doesn't have any side buttons though, if you really want those you should look at the Intellimouse 1.1 or 3.0. +1 for above, and Quake is the only game that matters, I laughed when you said "in Quake at least" somewhat off topic but I raised the polling rate on my G5 from 500 to 1000 Hz and I noticed a huge difference, I can flick and land nearly every shot with ease, playing an 80% accuracy rail minimum in quake live

You should add me on Quake Live as well, I'm not that great but I need more people to play with :unsmith: SlappyBags is username

Going entirely by my experience in osu, 1000hz is actually worse than 500hz; Logitech is right in their warning. You definitely won't feel a difference in FPS games, unless you happen to be getting 3,000+ fps.
