I think this is starting to get real serious, all this space stuff. A dutch company called Mars one wants to send people to mars by 2029 or so, these companies space mining asteroids, some other companies want to catch an asteroid and keep it floating at one point to use it as a space station for travelers and the ISS. All sounds like pretty exciting stuff for mankind to me.
I thought it was gonna be about EVE Online, I was fooled, but this is really interesting.
Sounds like a GREAT idea! If it gets us into space more, then go for it; the sooner space travel becomes commonplace and affordable the better. We're still centuries away from building something like the Ishimura, but hopefully before this century is done we'll have enough metals from the asteroids to build a ship that's designed to stay in space and ferry substantial numbers of people and resources across the inky void of Sol System, to colonial territories like Luna, Mars and the Jovian moons.
