Okay, well it all started when I installed a game (Although, I think it's a coincident it happened after I installed it). I started playing and enjoying my game, but in the middle of a round/battle my mouse and keyboard stopped working. So I rebooted, the mouse worked a bit but then stopped working. I was able to navigate (Although it was very limited), so I tried to look for solutions to the mouse and keyboard, mostly all the same. Another thing I noticed was that everything was slow, and there were a lot of spikes. (Notably: My firefox would constantly say Not responding, and come back; and while listening to music, the music would keep going normally, but then go back a few seconds). This made me suspect a virus immediately. So I tried and scan for viruses, but like the mouse, the keyboard would stop working and I wouldn't be able to keep the screen on to see any results. (Or do anything if there were any.) Out of frustration, I decided to leave her alone. Then like a day later, the mouse and keyboard were working again, but everything was still slow and there were still the spikes. I began my scan, and lo and behold, nothing was found. My brother told me that it was a hardware problem, and told me I should remove some stuff from the computer and let it sit around. (He said my graphics card and something else I forgot,) and I'm not that tech savvy, but would that work? Also, I would like to know if my game caused it. (And yes my computer can run the game.) System Specs: Windows Vista Service Pack 2 32-bit AMD Anthalon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ 2.60 GHz 3.00 RAM Thanks.

Probably your drivers crapping out on you.
what was the game no, tell him to wipe his mouth after he talks bullshit
Medieval 2: Total War Also, I seemed to have misinterpreted my brother's message. He said to take everything out, and put it back in so it would reset. He said the problem could be my RAM, and all I have to do is reset it. But he was afraid that the problem was the hard drive, he said it was corrupt, which he tried to repair but couldn't because it said it wouldn't allow him to since he was currently using it. So I went around looking for a way to , and did. I did it and said nothing was wrong, which he said was wrong. Confusing.

Something with your mouse/keyboard drivers are screwing up and possibly causing your whole system problems.
The mouse and keyboard fix themselves, however I'm still getting these spikes of slowness.
