I'm planning on getting a second 470 in the near future, However I'm not sure whether my power supply is sufficient. I currently have the Corsair TX650. I currently play at 1680 x 1050, although this may change in the future, I also have two monitors (Both 1680x1050). Full specs: Asrock p55 Extreme i7 870 (To be overclocked 4ghz+) 4gb DDr3 1600mhz 2x 7200rpm HDD DVD Drive Corsair H50 In other words, is it worth saving more and investing in XFX 750watt or similar.
according to this article a watercooled computer with SLI 470s and an overclocked i7 965 under full load draws ~570W, which technically should be sufficient for your PSU, but you'd need to get adaptors
Efficiency will fuck you over. And it doesn't have enough PCI-E connectors anyway.
Would a 6 pin and a molex adaptor each per card be safe?
I wouldn't risk those cards on two of those.
