• Looking for a new GPU.

I'm planning to upgrade my GPU from a 9500GT to a HD 5770 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102874), but I was curious if any of you computer savvy folks have a better choice. Take note, I have a 400W PSU and I need a GPU that fits within a low profile computer or one that is low profile ready. I'm planning to get a new computer all together later on but I need to get the money first. I honestly just want a better GPU to play the games I have better until the day comes that I can build a new PC.
That's a 5570, not a 5770, and it's not that great (might still be a bit better than the 9500). I suggest you save up your money for the new computer.
I would honestly just save up a bit longer. I'm and nVidia guy, so I would recommend the Geforce GTX 460 at the very least. This will run you around $110-$150, and will play just about every game currently available maxed out at around 40fps (my buddy gets between 30 and 60 on Bad Company 2). You should also be able to use it (or even SLI it) in your new build. Although at that rate why not save up a hundred more and get the newer GTX 560? Your call, my good sir.
I would strongly advise you to save that money for now. There are very few decent low profile cards.
What games do you plan on playing? Also, what is your budget? I'm also all for nVidia, games generally seem to perform better on them.
