(Reuters) - Standard & Poor's said on Friday it had downgraded Puerto Rico's general obligation debt even further into junk territory, from a B rating down to a CCC plus grade. The grading means the ratings agency now grades the U.S. commonwealth's debt rating four notches above the lowest possible grade of "default." In February S&P downgraded Puerto Rico's general obligation debt by three notches, where its debt rating was already headed into junk territory.
Source The arbitrary wheel of S&P spins again
This may suck but I love traveling to Puerto Rico. Awesome island.
Yay :(
Rating agency's in the current system are a fucking joke.
Rating agency's in the current system are a fucking joke.
But the entire system is one massive comedy skit. Rating agencies are more like the minor gag on the way to the punchline.
As above mentioned, this is irrelevant at most, negligible at least.
Now I'm no economist but I've been through school grade systems and I'm pretty sure two Cs and a C+ together has gotta be worth at least 1 B
That's harsh, they deserve a CBB-

So different from that promotional video I saw a while back.
