• Help with Mini Ubuntu install (Virtualbox, then for real)

So far in virtualbox I have X11, openbox, tint2, midnight commander (temporary), and feh. I know I will install alsa, conky, and pulse audio. That's what I know to do, and I can't find a good tutorial. Where do you suggest I go from here? I want to get chromium, any music player, and GIMP up and running, followed by whatever I can't think of right now.
sudo apt-get install conky gimp songbird
That's all there really is to it. You could also use http://ninite.com/ I believe they've added ubuntu support.
it's easier to just get firefox or something, you either have to add repositories or compile from source to get Chromium on ubuntu.
Actually, Chromium is in Ubuntu's repositories.
it wasn't when I last used it, but this was a long time ago when chromium was pretty new.
Check failed:PathService::Get(chrome::DIR_USER_DATA, &user_data_dir). Must be able to get user data directory!
Umm...
is /home mounted right?
Yes it is. Chromium is the only thing complaining.
