• Need a new GPU and PSU

Hello guys so after spending most of my money on a new keyboard and mouse. I still have about 200-300 euros to spend (this includes shipment) on a new graphics and PSU. The graphics I currently have is starting to not satisfy me anymore as I usually run games in normal or low, and now some newer games are even lagging even on low (e.g ACU). My PSU is only 350 watts, so you see why I need a new PSU as most decent graphics card need at least 500 watts. *I prefer to order it from www.ebay.de as it seems that most of the items I would order here would come sooner and more importantly, shipping costs less as Slovenia is much closer to Germany than to the U.K, I don't mind other websites as long as its cheaper and legit. *I live in Slovenia, so when looking at prices make sure you take the shipping into account as it is usually expensive. (Europe zone 3, if looking on amazon) *Please make sure that the GPU will work with everything else I have, including the new PSU you choose. Here are my specs: -Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 -Intel Core i5 2500 @ 3.30GHz -6.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz -MSI H67MA-E35 (MS-7680) -1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 6670 (MSI) -1397GB Western Digital WDC WD15EARS-00Z5B1 ATA Device (SATA) -Optiarc DVD RW AD-5280S ATA Device Here is what I was originally going to order: -GPU: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FOR0086/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me= is 232.72 euros (including shipping) this one looks the same, but I'm not sure if it is: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Sapphire-4GB-R9-270X-/371128461820?pt=DE_Computer_Sonstige&hash=item5668fae9fc#shpCntId (note that you can just right click and translate to English or whatever language if you are on chrome, It's what I do) which costs 228,14 euros (with shipping). If I were to buy that GPU, I would rather buy it from ebay.de as I'm expecting it to come sooner. -PSU: No idea, would like it at least 100 watts more than what the graphics card can take, just in case.. Feel free to contradict this and share your opinion.
I have a corsair CX600, its 600w so you'd be safe for future upgrades and it's quite cool, I just put my hand on it and it feels about 35 degrees C
I think I found a decent PCU (no shipping here): https://www.mimovrste.com/napajalniki/xilence-napajalnik-atx-630w-redwing-xilence-sps-xp630r5 What do you think?
The CX is really not a line I'd recommend. They're made with substandard parts that will cause unnecessary wear on your components. As for that Xilence, the redwing series appears to be on some real noname platforms. I'd go with this Antec power supply. It's made by Delta, who makes some damn good units.
Xilence to me is an unknown brand, you really want a xfx, evga, seasonic branded PSU. try this PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Superclocked ACX Video Card (€197.47 @ Amazon Deutschland) Power Supply: SeaSonic 660W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (€159.55 @ Amazon Deutschland) Total: €357.02 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-01-09 04:07 CET+0100
Why Would I waste 160 euros on a power supply? Because It's Platinum certified? I've done my research and the certification is mostly for less power consumption starting with 80% at bronze and ending at 89% at platinum and releasing a little bit less temperature (I would save about 10-15 euros on power bills yearly)? I really don't see why I would wan't to do that It's just a power supply. Correct me if I'm wrong. About the Xilence, I saw a different model (nearly same) on ebay and It had a bunch of buyers (like 150+, alot for a power supply) and It's been getting very good ratings and comments. Seems to be a german brand, and the german know what they are doing. And for the GPU, Seems interesting, could you explain why it's better? I don't understand graphics that much, that's why I'm asking. [editline]9th January 2015[/editline]
The CX is really not a line I'd recommend.
Quality Seasonic product. Only reason really. Don't really want to buy an IED now? Also it's a massive upgrade from your 6670 which you currently have now. That's like Crysis 3 at some very very high settings at a good frame rate. Plus it will last you for a quite a few years before needing another upgrade.
The 2 graphics cards cost the same -+ 5 euros... Could you please go into mor detail into why the EVGA is a better choice than the Sapphire. The pros and cons.
The difference between Sapphire and EVGA is the brand. There is literally 0 difference. Except for the actual cards, the EVGA one I picked is a Nvidia graphics card but re-branded by EVGA. The Sapphire one is an AMD one just re-branded by Sapphire.
Alright I understand, also yeah the differances are minimal but here are the big differences I noticed: The gtx760 can handle a 4k monitor (I don't think I'll get one for atleast 2 years, by what time I'll probably get a new gpu anyways) and now the big important thing that makes me question which to get it, since its nVidia, it has advanced physx. While the r9 270x, has 4gb of ram, meaning I can set up 2 monitors with no problems (which I was thinking of doing sooner or later) is a big plus for me, another big thing is, that it's much smaller in actual size then the gtx, by about 1/2 it's size, since my case isn't that big, that's another big plus, so it all comes down to is advanced physx really worth it? If yes how so, and how much. After this question is answered, I can finally decide and go to bed :D
4GB of vram will only be used if you need it in skyrim (modded to fuck mind due) textures also both cards can multi monitor just fine and both cards can do 4K
Maximale Auflösung 2560 x 1600 Pixel (translated maximum resolution)
Alright I have decided to listen to you (partially because a friend of mine also insists that that one is better). I have taken a look at ebay and look what I found http://www.ebay.de/itm/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-760-Superclocked-ACX-/371142973987?pt=DE_Elektronik_Computer_Computer_Graphikkarten&hash=item5669d85a23 Says it's super clocked shipping is only 10, so in total would come 215, a little bit less than all my other choices (talking bout 5-10 euros here, lol) what do you think? Also will it work with my motherboard and my pcu, and basically everything else? I need to make sure before I order it. the pcu I chose is: https://www.mimovrste.com/napajalniki/antec-napajalnik-atx-650w-vpf650-80-bronze?v=728348
I really need to know if it will work with my motherboard...
Yeah, it'll work just fine.
Thank you all, they have both been ordered. :)
