Drive was a love or hate sort of film, I liked it but I can see why people wouldn't.
I thought Drive was a fantastic film. Hell of a lot better than Red State in my opinion - so i'm a bit pissed with Tarantino putting Drive in the 'nice try'. Red State started off good and then John Goodman came and everything got lame. I don't have anything against John Goodman, I like him, them film just started to get bad when that part happened. EDIT: Green Lantern and Green Hornet were considered? They both fucking sucked.
The three musketeers was a fun little film, but nothing that deserves an award. Green Lantern was a bad movie. Drive Angry wasn't that good but I can see why someone like Quentin Tarantino would like it. The Hangover II was a piece of shit, I don't know why he'd even consider it. Other than that, I think the list is fine
He puts Drive in the same league as a fucking Rock Em Sock Em Robots movie? What the shit?
Others Considered (in no particular order): The Hangover Part II :pwn:
Others Considered (in no particular order): The Hangover Part II :pwn:
Green Lantern concerns me a lot more than that one.
Never thought he'd go as low as making a "best of" list.
EDIT: Green Lantern and Green Hornet were considered? They both fucking sucked.
Green Hornet wasn't that bad, it was just too campy instead of a serious movie that people were expecting. The Green Lantern, however, was bad in every possible aspect
I've only seen Midnight In Paris and Attack the Block in that list. Looks good. [editline]14th January 2012[/editline] the reason why he doesn't like Drive is so obvious. It's clear he thinks it rips off his movies.
It's clear he thinks it rips off his movies.
-it's ironic because he rips off other movies too!''' really it's true. Reservoir Dogs is just the Hong Kong movie, City on Fire with pop culture references added in. he also borrows a lot from the french new wave scene but i don't think that really counts as ripping off or anything.
Green Hornet Green Lantern Captain America: The First Avenger
What in the fuck?
The Hangover II was a piece of shit, I don't know why he'd even consider it.
10 bucks that he never seen the first one. If he actually did, than he must have some bad taste of movies.
Quentin Tarantino has such odd taste in movies
What in the fuck?
You don't know? He really likes comic-books. See Kill Bill 2's ending and his praise for Superman Returns
someone I know runs the blog posted in the OP...my friends had no idea that people read his blog. awesome dig his love of rise of the planet of the apes. easily one of the best screenplays of the year
-it's ironic because he rips off other movies too!''' really it's true. He's a massive fan of both cinemas.
Moneyball was such an amazing movie. Everyone has it in their top 10.

That being said I still love him :v:
I'm sorry but The Three Musketeers? Attack the Block, Green Lantern, The Beaver, The Sitter, all better than Drive? And why is Hanna so low too? Fuck off Quentin.
I'm sorry but The Three Musketeers? Attack the Block, Green Lantern, The Beaver, The Sitter, all better than Drive? And why is Hanna so low too? Fuck off Quentin.
Yeah I love his movies but don't really care at all for his taste in films. Didn't give Inception a mention on his top 25 for that year either.
He names 'The Skin I live in' from Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar. I saw that last week and although its worth a watch I wouldn't top 10 it.
He has a really weird taste if he likes The Three Musketeers or Green Lantern better than Drive.
He names 'The Skin I live in' from Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar. I saw that last week and although its worth a watch I wouldn't top 10 it.
it was pretty excellent...I would definitely put it in the top 10. it wasn't almodovar's best, but it was definitely great
It's pretty obvious why he wouldn't like Drive that much. Why would the self proclaimed king of dialogue like a movie with very little dialogue.
I'm going out on a limb here, but it seems like he likes a lot of stupid movies, or movies that are so different from his they can't be compared. It's like he has an egotistical complex where he hates movies that are even remotely like his, or movies that may rival his, and praising movies that are really dumb or not in the same league as his is his safety zone, he doesn't have to worry about people liking them more than his, or think about how much better a movie may be than one of his own.
10 bucks that he never seen the first one. If he actually did, than he must have some bad taste of movies.
since the second one is exactly the same as the first, I believe it must be pretty funny if you see it before
Each to their own :v: It's not like being a good movie creator means that you always know what a good movie is. Good is subjective, and even if something is widely hated/loved by a majority of people, there will always be some people who didn't enjoy it in the same way they did. It's one of the reasons I don't ever take the words of a movie/game critic as the final truth.
Bit surprised he didn't like Sucker Punch.
Bit surprised he didn't like Sucker Punch.
Yeah, not even Quentin liked Sucker Punch
