A cast member of MTV reality show Buckwild was found dead in rural West Virginia on Monday after being reported missing by family members on Sunday. Shain Gandee, 21, was found dead in a car along with two other men including his uncle David on Monday morning in Sissonville, Kanawha County, a spokeswoman for County Commissioner Kent Carper told Reuters. I'm not trying to be edgy or anything, but the show was terrible. It's sad he's dead, but atleast the show won't go on anymore.
Its so sad how the fact that some 20 year old tv star that everybody worships dies, but there's soldiers who die everyday and don't get attention. Yeah its sad that he died, but people die all the time. Its a part of life, im not trying to sound irrational or anything but it definitely deserves less attention than its getting, well from where im from its getting a lot of attention.

America thrives on media.

It's not exactly a safe occupation. It would be silly for the media to focus on the deaths of people who get shot at for a living. It happens too often for people to care.
I've never heard of this guy nor this show. were they good? also may he RIP
Well, fuck. Three dead in what's most likely/hopefully a car crash, found three days later? That's... Oddly depressing.

An article says their exhaust pipe was in the mud clogging it. Apparently they ran the motor keep the vehicle warm. I imagine they were so drunk they eventually passed out without realizing the danger they were in.

This really made me think on it. Maybe I'll be able to conjure up what I mean in written form later, but wow there's something about that, it just isn't right. [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] It's sad but true.

It's probably just due to the much lower rate compared to America, but if a soldier dies, it's a huge event that gets a lot of coverage.
I read a story this morning about how he may have died from carbon monoxide poisoning. They say his car crashed off the road and he sit in it with the motor running for too long.
so do celebrity deaths
But people care about those, as long as they're not old and to be expected to die
Only explanation I can see is that he had a momentary moment of clarity and realized what he was a part of. Being part of a "Reality" show on MTV is worse than mutation. The tiny shred of his well being that was anything close to still being human took over and ended his nightmare. He is one of the lucky ones. Meanwhile, we still have to suffer with the existence of the rest of the cast, the cast of the Jersey Shore and worst of all, Rob Dyrdek: attention whore and douche extraordinaire.
I ran into the guy in Charleston once and he was a really cool dude. Sorry to see that he died but god damn I hate the rep that show gives the state.
According to other articles, carbon monoxide poisoning. They were mudding, got stuck with the exhaust under water, and it filled the cab of the Bronco with fumes until it killed them. Guy wasnt too bright really. Says he left at 3am to go mudding, was apparently not prepared, and if his truck still ran with the exhaust under water, it apparently leaked or he was on the throttle a lot

Innocent teenagers aren't.
Well, fuck. Three dead in what's most likely/hopefully a car crash, found three days later? That's... Oddly depressing.
I once heard a story of a woman who was found barely alive a week after she went missing on a highway. They found her car down an embankment upside-down, and even then it was only found because they were finally able to cut through the red tape and trace her cell phone signal. She survived, but if it hadn't been for the red tape, they could have found her on the very first day.
