President Trump's actions during his first week in office have appeared to be aimed at the voters who already supported him, not at reaching out to the rest, and that's taken a rapid toll on his support, which was already historically low.
Gallup, which has measured job approval for presidents for decades, shows Trump's approval so far at 45%, with 48% disapproving. That's an average of several days' polling.
The daily trend lines are not kind to the new administration. As of Saturday, 51% of Americans disapproved of Trump's performance.

MAGA
Also, this poll doesn't even show how his ratings changed in the last couple of days, with the Muslim ban. The numbers when that data comes in are going to be incredible, I can hardly wait.
Stunning
Sad!
Not even surprised.
42% of Americans approve of everything he's doing...
More fake news! Gallup. FAKE. Pew. FAKE.
Only get your statistics information from me, Donald J. Trump, the unfair and biased media will no longer lie to the American people anymore.

To be honest, I'm afraid to see how many people will still approve after.
42% of Americans approve of everything he's doing...
Not surprising. I'd argue that the majority of people I know support most of what he's done.
As an Australian, 2017 is going to be entertaining, to say the least.

The Bible Belt is one hell of a place.

It's not a muslim ban but whatever.
Who even cares about these ratings?

The REAL news straight from the Trump House is the only media you can and will trust. According to a survey of all legal American citizens with properly-supervised social media, Donald J. Trump has an approval rating of 103% making him (and America) the greatest and most tremendous they have ever been in history ever, folks.

Corporate media does have a political agenda. His approval ratings will always by influenced by that fact.
It's how everyone was amazed trump and brexit won in the first place.

You apparently, since you felt the need to post about it.

It's not a 'muslim ban', since that would have been illegal. However, the goals and original starting point is rather apparent.
Bush sr. almost hit leet status. not surprising though that trump has hit this record, afterall he has to be the best at everything, even being the best at being worst.
It's not a muslim ban but whatever.

Me, and millions of other people
And yes, it is a Muslim ban, just halfheartedly dressed up not to look like one. Let me remind you that Trump specifically proposed a Muslim ban during his campaign, so don't even think about arguing bullshit semantics on this.

But nobody cares when Obama bombed with thousand of drones. Those countries that the Obama Administration has listed as dangerous. Its alright when the team I am on does it.
Such hypocrisy.

I'm sorry, did Trump run on the platform of ending the drone program? If not, then it's fucking irrelevant because HE'S GOING TO KEEP DOING IT TOO!

I mean it's pretty important to see that a majority of Americans don't approve of the president leading them.
[sp] (tapped the star rating on accident, mobile phone and fat fingers mix badly)[/sp]

Not really considering I, and many others, do care about that kind of shit.
We also think this is fucking unconscionable.

Hi I cared. I also care when Trump unilaterally decided citizens were terrorists just because of where they were born.

No one here said it's okay. A lot of people who protested against Trump's ban also protested against Obama's drone policy.

It is relevant because even before, when Obama was first president he banned immigration from Iraq for 6 months.
Nobody cares about that either? Double standards.

He didn't end immigration from Iraq. He stopped processing refugee applications. If you had a green card, you could still get in. If you had a travel visa, you could still get in. That is not the case right now.
Please at least make an attempt to present the truth before you complain about that damned librul hipcorsiy!

The two are not the same.

Obama didn't ban refugees outright. He imposed harsher background checks on immigrants and pledged to reassess the records of about 58,000 refugees who were already settled in the U.S. He didn't detain anyone at the airport or deny access to green card holders and legal U.S. residents.
Also, the main source for your argument is Breitbart. Definitely not a coincidence.
First, Obama responded to an actual threat—the discovery that two Iraqi refugees has been implicated in bomb-making in Iraq that had targeted U.S. troops. (Iraq, after all, had been a war zone.) Under congressional pressure, officials decided to reexamine all previous refugees and also impose new screening procedures, which led to a slowdown in processing new applications. Trump, by contrast, issued his executive order without any known triggering threat.
Second, Obama did not announce there was a ban on visa applications. In fact, as seen in Napolitano’s answer to Collins, administration officials danced around that question. There was certainly a lot of news reporting that visa applications had been slowed to a trickle. But the Obama administration never said it was their policy to halt all applications. Even so, the delays did not go unnoticed, so there was a lot of critical news reporting at the time about the angst of Iraqis waiting for approval.
Third, Obama’s policy did not prevent all citizens of that country, including green-card holders, from traveling the United States. Trump’s policy is much more sweeping, though officials have appeared to pull back from barring permanent U.S. residents.
edit: lol I was beaten to the punch
