I believe it, but rt is a very biased site. Any alternative sources?

Just curious, do you post for the sake of posting?
Edit: It helps to read the article before posting.
Here's a legit source

This is what I was referencing in a past post that got bombarded with boxes where I said that I don't think the ultra rich need to be taxed more, they just need to pay the fucking taxes they owe instead of weaseling out of it.

it's true though, increasing taxes on the rich doesn't really do much because they'll find a way to avoid it
They'll do that as long as they're taxed a single penny.
The rich have almost all time low taxes at the moment and they still are not willing to pay.
Nono. They pay people to find loopholes.
wow think of all of the extra money our government could have wasted
Boeing spokesman Chaz Bickers said the aerospace manufacturer's tax bills are largely deferred until it starts generating revenue from airplane sales. "We play by the rules. We pay our taxes," he said, adding Boeing's total effective tax rate for 2013 was 26.4 percent.
i can understand companies like boeing defering their taxes like this, but companies like google are allowed to avoid taxes just by building a very large building in ireland and claiming ireland's unfair tax benefits, and others mainly do similar tactics, building large headquarters in places where taxes are low then claiming most of their workforce is registered to be working there and then they don't have to pay nearly as much taxes here
You pretty much need an international mandate to stop this sort of shit. Some economists have suggested that you tax the shareholders instead, which seems like a good idea.

ya but they are already taxing shareholders by the capital gains tax, which is perhaps even more of a protected and controversial topic than the U.S. tax code

Effective tax rates will go up if you raise marginal rates, as evidenced by every single tax increase in US history. Case in point, the recent repeal of the Bush-era tax cuts for the upper bracket. Revenues have risen.

The sad part is that this is true :v:
