Christ I had to read that title ten times.
News sounds pretty awesome though.
man, this kind of makes me want to return to eve
I think if they made their mission system consist of something actually interesting instead of "Go here, kill pirates." it would benefit the game greatly. There is surprisingly a little amount of personality to EVE outside of what the players have to inject into it.

I haven't played EVE in over a year so I don't know if this is in yet, but once they add that out-of-ship stuff I imagine it will benefit greatly from a plan like this.

Don't run missions. EVE is a sandbox, it gives you all of the toys (spaceships) for you to entertain yourself at the detriment of other players experiences. Even for the purpose of making money there are better ways but never fall into the isk/hour trap.

I was always broke in EVE and never belonged to a big corp. I basically lived off borrowing money all the time. How else is a new player suppose to live?

"Sure this is a sandbox, but my sandcastles are better than yours"
PVE in EVE will never be great, the combat fundamentally doesn't lend itself to fun cross-shooting.
Also EVE is actually more or less a 24/7 warzone outside of the starting areas, though dodging combat is easy enough when you're out exploring.
And making billions is easy, just find a pirate BS BPC (I did this in a day, nullsec is empty) or even better, take someone elses.

Join a good corp, EVE is a fucking dreadful singleplayer game.

As Atlas said, they want to make it more like pvp and more dynamic and all that fun stuff.

Define "good corp" then. I don't understand what makes a good corp or a bad corp because just being in a corp never got me money. Just being in a corp never got me any closer to that near mythical action of hundred ship invasions of a POS. As far as I can tell, if you're not in Good Swarm you're not in a good corp anyway.

BPC's dont just drop, you either grind missions for them and get LP or get lucky in an Anom Escalation or off a faction spawn.

P.S. Everyone has a circle jerk and calls another corp/alliance shitty its part of EvE. Some are just shittier than others and its surprisingly easy to get into the big null alliances, the Goons are even having a recruitment drive right now.
They're improving missions in the next big update so they're not shit anymore.
Sandbox =/= 24/7 warzone, plenty of people run missions in their downtime when not fighting other players, not everyone can be a super rich trader with billions of ISK to blow on new ships.
Why not? That just puts you at the bottom of the ladder babe

Yes, I want to spend $10 and three months sucking up to the SA forums just to find a way to enjoy EVE. My point is, what makes a good corp?
My point is, what makes a good corp?
Primarily, that it's filled with people you enjoy being with. On comms, in corp, flying together. If you can get that and a decent level of skill/capital/assets/whatever to accomplish things and have security, that's even better.

Then I've never had a good corp during my time in EVE.

They drop fairly reliably from null complexes.
