The Trump administration is scrutinizing studies and data published by scientists at the Environmental Protection Agency, while new work is under a "temporary hold" before it can be released. The communications director for President Donald Trump's transition team at EPA, Doug Ericksen, said Wednesday the review extends to all existing content on the federal agency's website, including details of scientific evidence showing that the Earth's climate is warming and man-made carbon emissions are to blame.

Former EPA staffers under both Republican and Democratic presidents said the restrictions imposed under Trump far exceed the practices of past administrations. Ericksen said no decisions have yet been made about whether to strip mentions of climate change from epa.gov. "We're taking a look at everything on a case-by-case basis, including the web page and whether climate stuff will be taken down," Erickson said in an earlier interview with the AP. "Obviously with a new administration coming in, the transition time, we'll be taking a look at the web pages and the Facebook pages and everything else involved here at EPA." Asked specifically about scientific data being collected by agency scientists, such as routine monitoring of air and water pollution, Ericksen responded, "Everything is subject to review."
The Chicago Tribune
No you see it's called "peer review". That means the scientists review with eachother not the government
This is not okay. This is just another front for Trump's post-fact world.
I hope they review everything and say "oh wow okay they weren't bullshitting us"
I'm sure this has nothing to do with Trump's connection to the oil and coal industries, especially not the much vaunted clean coal that promises to somehow revive an industry three decades dead
Watch as all the papers and studies are replaced with 'carbon emissions is good for humans mmkay'
review by who?
review by who?
The Ministry of Truth of course.
review by who?
Review by his political team, who are, naturally, all qualified scientists. /s
I hope they leak all of these to foreign environmental agencies
The first steps towards a dictatorship have always been censorship.
review by who?
steve bannon
fuck it, leak everything
Trump will never win over the majority of the American people, for one simple reason. Trump is a fascist. And there is nothing that kindles the flame of the American spirit to a blazing inferno like resistance to tyranny. The more Trump acts undemocratic, the more tyrannical his actions and words become, the stronger he will be resisted across America and across the world. He has a path to win over the American people, but right now I highly doubt he'll take it - that would be to swallow his pride and start to work with the other parties for the good of Americans everywhere - not just his ego. He'll be toppled, wait and see. If not through the next election, then through insurrection if he takes things too far.
I dunno if Trump is a fascist but I think he's number 1 with fascists.
I hope they review everything and say "oh wow okay they weren't bullshitting us"
So do I but I have a bad feeling it'll be blocking anything that says climate change is real. Still hoping it's not like that though.
I dunno if Trump is a fascist but I think he's number 1 with fascists.
I say it because suppressing the flow of information and censoring scientists is a very fascist thing to do.
I hope they review everything and say "oh wow okay they weren't bullshitting us"
They aren't going to read shit they're going to block it all out and just deny everything
I am so relieved that our new federal kommisars will protect us from evil science.
I'm predicting it now, they're not going to read past the first paragraph and the only ones that get through have misleading titles and opening paragraphs.
They aren't going to read shit they're going to block it all out and just deny everything
Sometimes I like to be optimistic and think maybe Trump isn't going to skullfuck America.
This is what you get when you let businessmen run things.
For the future, I recommend installing a text plugin that replaces "administration" with "regime"
[t]http://i.imgur.com/HBsNl25.png[/t] Heehee it still works
I'm predicting it now, they're not going to read past the first paragraph and the only ones that get through have misleading titles and opening paragraphs.
Pull a "read the first letter of every line" on them
Comparing Trump to Hitler at this point isn't even fair, cause even Hitler promoted science
I hope they review everything and say "oh wow okay they weren't bullshitting us"
It'll probably be more like "Wow, this paper is full of numbers... I hate numbers."
Comparing Trump to Hitler at this point isn't even fair, cause even Hitler promoted science
Sciences like Eugenics (Aryan racial superiority) and Rocketry (for war purposes).
Sciences like Eugenics (Aryan racial superiority) and Rocketry (for war purposes).
To be fair, the rockets worked (When they did) more or less perfectly. They simply landed on the wrong planet
