I give my school a 2 for very, very many reasons: The dresscode, for boys: Jeans or Dress Pants, no red, solid color. Collared shirt with short or long sleeves, no red, solid color. For girls: Dresses, Blouses or Collared shirts, no red, solid color. Skirts, pants, dresspants, no red, solid color, skirts and dresses have to be at or below the knee. Jackets: Solid color or pattern only, no red, no hoods on while on campus. No chains or such. I understand and follow the dresscode, but it does slightly annoy me. Now, let's go on for how the staff bullies the Students: The hallway bullshit. You walk in a single file line on one side of the hallway, so if you have a class farther up the hall then a class on the same side of the hall closer to the hall entrance, you have to re-enter the hall in order to get to your next class. The old eletronics rule (Was you could have it out before school waiting for first period and lunch.) replaced, now you can't have it out at lunch. The super-duper insubordination rule, usually used right before the teacher yelling at you saying it was "disrespectful", if I ever get sent to the dean for insubordination, I'm saying this directly to that teacher's face: If you want respect, you must first respect me. Thinking of me as your subordinate is defiantly not a way to earn my respect, and every time I hear you use that term I only lose more and more respect for you. If you complain about disrespect, maybe you should start respecting your students as you would like to be respected (Teachers use "insubordination" to cover anything you do that they don't particularly like at my school.) Also, if you get jumped/attacked/assaulted in anyways, you're assailant and yourself are going to be RPCed/Suspended/etc. no matter the situation. There is absolutely no compassion for victims, yet they claim they have a zero-tolerance bullying policy going along with the words "No place for hate", personally, if I was a bully, I think getting my victim suspended would be an excellent idea to fuck them up. Total control and abuse of the elective system- I chose my three electives (which I am unsure of what they were exactly at the moment) and they put me in as a Student Aide. Oh well, at least I can at least of the slightest bit of pseudo-political power at my school now. Student Council doesn't do shit but plan parties. Speaking of which, to attend those parties (unless they were part of a fund raiser) you had these requirements: No RPCs for the entire year $2 for a ticket You must leave the party by 5:00 PM (Depending on the party, some ended as soon as school did [The fundraiser ones.]) Last but not fucking least- Assigned seats in the cafeteria. Paired with no electronics, you would line up outside the cafeteria, if you packed your lunch you would go to a table they told you too, if you bought lunch you would wait in line for your food, when you exited the line they would place people on opposite ends of the cafeteria so groups of friends didn't stay together. They started doing this during 3rd and 4th semester. I hope it doesn't start up again this year. (I have gone to this school for 2 years, I don't go back until monday. As far as learning and such goes, it's not the best, but it's decent. One more year of this bullcrap then it's off to the school my dad teaches at.)
6, ain't that bad, still a piece of shit.
You have a very strict school. I rate mine 7. Why? It's an allright school, mostly. The problems are easier to speak of. They include: - Mostly shitty food (Although free) - Each and every single one of my classmates is a faggot. - We can't go hang outside the school's own property during breaks. - Most of the teachers suck at what they do (Except the male ones, for whatever reason.) - Girls are always favoured. I don't fucking understand why, all they have to do is look nice and they get fucking 10 for every subject. But we have free food, the building itself is in a good condition and we can dress however we want. So i guess it's allright to rate it a 7.
Well i don't go to school anymore but the school wasn't really the problem, it was the people in the school.
10 out of mother fucking 10. Dress code - None, as long as we don't show up nude it's usually fine. (Teachers ask the wigger faggots to pull their pants up when they're around their knees, but thats more then resonable) Lunch - Open campus or school bought. Because the school isn't the primary high school we get food brought to us so we don't have much of a choice. But seeing as there is Dairy Queen, Burger King, Taco Johns, Subway and Wendy's within walking distance it's ok. Electroics - Texting during passing time is ok. We can listen to our MP3 players whenever we want, but if a teacher is trying to talk to us they will want them off. If a teacher has to ask you multiple times about your cell phone they will take it for the rest of the day and at most contact your parents about it. Dances - We don't have our own, but we attend the primary high schools. Teachers - I have no issues with the teachers. All of them are awesome. You can joke with them 99% of the time, that 1% is when it's really hectic and they're trying to keep people from fucking around when they need to be working. This is my 3'rd year at this school. It's fuckin awesome.
8, pretty good I'd say after reading about your school, OP. I would HATE to go there. But yeah, 8 out 10 because no dress code, teachers that know shit about what they teach, reasonable disciplinary system, and only assigned tables at lunch, not seats.
Your school fucking sucks. I guess my highschool was 7
I don't go to school anymore, but I would rate mine an 8. -2 for the people, they were total assholes. But, it gets an 8 for many things. For one, liberal cell phone policy. Use it in class, gets taken away for the day. Use it in class a second time, parents have to pick up and stays that way for further offenses. No dress code. You can sit where you want during lunch and basically do what you want as long as you're in the commons/cafe during lunch period. Electives were amazing. Especially the art classes, many choices. Electronics allowed if you're in the commons area, during lunch, before first period, anywhere in school after hours.
9 because this was the year my appreciation (boners) for girls rose.
2 I got bullied all the way through it and failed my GCSE's which i'm re-taking this year because i took a year off.
4. Barely any sports, no sports facilities, too many rules and we have to learn Mandarin. FUCKING MANDARIN
7. No electronics at all. If seen with a electronic device even during passing or lunch or break you can get suspended. Dress code is pretty lenient... Good electives..Dances...I don't go to them. There is a dead skunk near the office that the school isn't cleaning up so whenever you near the office it smells like well..dead rotting skunk. They blocked all the exits to get out of the school by your car except for one they say it's too "Speed up traffic" but ever since they started it's gotten 5 times worse. Lunch is basically free time and you can do whatever you want..there is no cafeteria really just a spot that serves food and an open campus. so yah...7.
I feel bad for the people with dress codes. I'd rather have strict ass electronic rules than that.
This was my school, i hated it. The tree in the picture isn't there, it got cut down due to retards climbing it and falling off then trying to get the school in trouble, blaming the school for their own retardation.
Also, most of the stupid rules they have didn't kick in until 3rd semester last year. If I have to do that assigned seat cafeteria bullshit again I'm going to choke a bitch. My school here: http://schools.ccsd.net/swainston/
You got bullied? You need to jaw someone for real.
My school is very relaxed, has one of the highest teacher to student ratios, has zero bullying, and the teachers are very cool. The only downside to the school is that it's old as hell. I gave it a 9 not because i enjoy school, I hate being there half the time, but because i know that other schools can be utter shit, and i could have it a lot worse. EDIT: Especially the no bullying part. I'm pretty confident that if anyone ever saw bullying they would beat the living shit out of the bully.
You got bullied? You need to jaw someone for real.
I had one incident, but there was no consequence because if you hit the bully in self defense the bully will respect you more than the teacher. I was walking to fourth period and he pushed me in the hall, I caught my self and launched back up punching him in the face. Never had any other problems. Edit: But I've had friends get RPCed or even sent to Juvy for defending themselves.
If you get into a fight at my school the school doesn't deal with it and you end up going to court and getting a fine.
Here's to hopping college is better. I'll find out Monday.
You got bullied? You need to jaw someone for real.
If this was directed towards me, hurting people did nothing. I thought, by punching someone so hard in the face that it nearly broke my hand and knocked them out and broke their nose, getting someone in a headlock and making sure they can't breathe until one of my friends stopped me because they thought it was wrong, shit like that you think would get them to fuck off, but it didn't. Oh and i tried something else, someone wanted to fight with me for not looking right, so i talked to him before he randomly knocks me on the floor and walks off with a cocky smile on his face, i then took a sharp knife out of my bag, cut my own hand with it and then i made him fight me, got blood all over the place and it stopped people from bothering me for two whole weeks before they started again. tl;dr Psychopath type shit and hitting people doesn't work basically.
gave my college a 4. been in school since August last year and my longest break was about 4 days. fuck. and they fired my favorite teacher.
-Really Expensive -Uniform -Everyone is really strict But -Awesome Building -Awesome Food -Awesome Education -My Mom Works There so 10.
i live in detroit...so yea the schools over here are pretty fucked up
people still live in detroit? [editline]12:22AM[/editline] oh and 9
10. the only thing I don't like about my school is the pep rallies, and those aren't even done by the school.
10/10 because they're really lenient and the teachers are cool. I played my DS at lunch and never once got bitched at. Dress code is lenient. Teacher once talked about how you'd mulch your nuts if you mis-used a hand router (woodshop) Autoshop teacher doesn't even care if we drop F-Bombs as long as it's not just for the sake of it.
My dad is an autoshop teacher at the highschool I'm going to, he's close friends with the woodshop teacher (I'm taking woodshop.). So one more year of this bullshit and then freshman friday and then FREEDOM! Also my school has the generic egotastic "I'm always right" computer teachers, etc.
I guess my school's a 7 or 8. No dress code, regular school food. The teachers are okay, not too strict or anything. The students are okay, not too many ALPHA MALE types. My only complaint is that we can't go outside during lunch breaks. With electronics, it depends on the teacher. Most of them just ask you to put it away if they catch you. Pretty decent school.
I'd rate my school a 13. [editline]12:31AM[/editline] I don't go to the best school.
