Yeah, I don't know much about computers but if I understand correctly the i5 750 and a 5850 would do good for me. Just dunno what motherboard to use, psu, etc, so if anyone could put a rig together for me that would be awesome. I'll mainly be just PC gaming. Need EVERYTHING except mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Building from scratch basically.
What's the resolution on the monitor you have?

Add Windows 7 if you want to buy the above build.
Huh, I just recently purchased an i5 + 5850 build. For around $1,000.
That is green, which is slower than the one he has picked out. 1.5TB is enough for anyone, really.
The one in the build is 500 and wd green and the other one is 750 gigs and is a WD Green. Also the WD green drives are not slow because usually they have a higher memory density.

Caviar Green's are made for power efficiency, they're not "slow" depending on the RPM they're made on, but usually useful for external hard drives. Caviar Blacks which are about always a notch more in price are made to be faster and always come with 32mb or 64mb cache.
Every modern Caviar drive, the ones with Colors. They have been noisy as fuck, and you can always hear the HDD.
Means it's working, and screw it in on all 4 and it shouldn't make too much noise.
Would'nt it be wise to wait for the i5 650 which is being released in a few days?

You can hear the damn head on the HDD searching. I know my drive isn't defective, because my old one also did it, which made me think it was defective and I purchased a new one.

It also did the noises in my old case, Which did use screws. Forgot to mention that.

Build I posted is better than anything else mentioned here, if the hard drive is a problem just get a second one and raid 0 them, or get a smaller capacity faster drive. You could even get a low capacity solid state drive with the money saved from the first build (I posted) compared to the second build.
