The only thing that concerns me is how good the insects were cleaned before preparation.
Apparently, fried tarantula legs taste like crab meat.

I think the first step is making them look less like insects/arachnids.
The further away it looks from the original insect the better my chances of eating it.
Grind them down into a little paste or something, use that as a filling for some kind of ravioli or whatever. Don't tell me what it's made of directly, either. Give it a fancy name. We've been calling cow brains "Sweetmeats" and duck liver Foi Gras, so we might as well call insect paste Softmeats or something ambiguous. I would cautiously taste Softmeat Ravioli and if it was at least marginally tasty, I would eat it again in the future.

like seriously the only reason i refuse to eat them is because of the fact that i can recognize them as creepy crawlies
their appearance is 99% of their gross factor

In the next couple decades we'll be seeing ground insect patties I bet, breeding livestock produces too much pollution so we're going to have to stop doing it eventually

see i don't know about you guys but i don't particularly like to eat things that are the same shade of green as baby vomit and rotting corpses. that spider looks fine to me though, it's just looks like a gimmicky-shaped crab-flavored crisp

well i mean, it's just a personal thing that wouldn't necessarily [I]convince[/I] me to eat grubs, because i honestly still find the idea kind of unappealing. but we're going to have to start breeding them anyway as you say so i guess i'll get over it eventually, it just seems gross to me now because i've never tried them

I think I'm the opposite. Those green things just look like some seasoned prawns of whatever type but the spider... well I wouldn't even consider that an insect and my arachnophobia is tingling when I look at it.
