Libyan state TV has broadcast footage showing one of the sons of former leader Col Muammar Gaddafi apologising to the nation from prison.
"I apologise to the Libyan people... for disturbing the security and stability of Libya," Saadi Gaddafi is seen to say.
Saadi was extradited to Libya earlier this month from Niger, where he fled after the 2011 revolution.
He is accused of trying to suppress the uprising against his father's rule.
The 40-year-old, one of Col Gaddafi's seven sons, is best known for a brief career in Italian football as well as his playboy lifestyle.
Wait he survived?
Last I read anyone under the Gadaffi name was caught and killed?
I think three-four of the sons were killed alongside Gaddafi himself but details are sketchy on the others, they either fled or simply moved to other places since they got alot of cash.
I think one of them lives in LA or NYC, but i could remember wrong.

Only the Colonel and his son Mutassim are confirmed dead. Two of his other sons are in custody awaiting trial - Saif al-Islam is held by a militia while Saadi is held by the government. All the rest of his family are either in hiding or missing/suspected dead.
