People love thorium against the odds. And now Bill Gates has given them a new reason to keep rooting for the underdog element.
Hell yeah, lets get some reactors running!
choo choo
its either thorium reactors or traveling wave reactors. i'm cool with either.
choo choo
Thorium produces radon-220. Every time you choo choo, you give a village lung cancer.
Hell yeah, lets get some reactors running!
With the power of Thor.
Thor is the god of lightning, and thorium reactors make electricity.
Thorium produces radon-220. Every time you choo choo, you give a village lung cancer.

The 220Rn isotope is a natural decay product of the most stable thorium isotope (232Th), and is commonly referred to as thoron. It has a half-life of 55.6 seconds and also emits alpha radiation. Source
I don't think we necessarily need to worry about that element in particular. Admittedly it is highly radioactive, but the quantities are going to be so insignificant in comparison to its precursor that it isn't much to worry about. Add on top of that reactor containment facilities.
As someone going into Nuclear Power I would like to thank Bill Gates for practically guaranteeing future jobs for me.
Thorium produces radon-220. Every time you choo choo, you give a village lung cancer.
this is by natural decay we want to destroy it in a nuclear reactor
