Just curious if i would have any issues moving my hdd with vista into my pc that has windows 7 on the hdd in it so i can move my music and game saves over since i'm going to be giving the pc that has my vista drive in it to my parents cause their pc took a shit and i'm too lazy to fix it lol.
Should be fine as long as your boot priorities are setup fine.
Can't read it...
Can't read it...
Lol i can't really understand what i wrote either, i have no idea how i managed to type that so badly but thanks for the reply ben. I shall give it a go and hopefully something evil doesn't happen lol.
Well as long as they are both the same type of hard drives and the connectors are the same it should all work out. Even though installing HDDs that had previously installed windows on can sometimes fuck up.. but it will ALWAYS warn you before it removes everything from it or something.
Managed to do it last night, was fairly simple. Only problem was when i went to take the drive out to put it back into the other pc i took the wrong one out and realized it after i put everything back together and booted up. Which i have the antec 1200 case and anyone who has it should know how much of a pain in the ass installing and removing hdds are lol. But other than that, i got my music and the game saves i wanted over without an issue.
As long as the bios is set to boot from the correct drive, you should be fine.
