Leicester City win Premier League title after Tottenham draw at Chelsea
Leicester City have won the Premier League title in one of the greatest sporting stories of all time.
Tottenham's 2-2 draw at Chelsea on Monday confirmed a stunning achievement for Claudio Ranieri's side.
Leicester started the campaign as 5,000-1 outsiders for the title after almost being relegated last season.
But they have lost just three league games in what has been described as a "fairytale" and the "most unlikely triumph in the history of team sport".
Closest challengers Spurs, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and last year's champions Chelsea, have all failed to match the Foxes' consistency across the season.
"In terms of domestic football, Leicester City winning the Premier League is the greatest achievement ever and I think it will never be surpassed," former Leicester midfielder Robbie Savage told BBC Sport.
Can confirm, Leicester is going mad atm and my facebook feed us blowing up a right treat.
One of the greatest sporting achievements of all time, congrats Leicester City. A team who hardly spent anything beating the big teams who have spent 300m+. It's all about teamwork and passion.
5000:1

And what passion they have. It's frankly amazing to hear those old fans, who have sticked by them for decades while mostly playing in the second division getting very emotional at Leicester actually winning the Premier League.
Especially when considering that one year and a month ago, they were dead last in the Premier League, 7 points away from the first non-relegation spot, before having the greatest relegation escape ever, by winning seven out of the last nine games, and going from 19 points and 20th place to 41 points and 14th place at the end at the season!
This is even more surprising than Denmark winning the 1992 European Championship while not even having qualified for it!
What the fuck, how, didn't they nearly get relegated last season?
Leave it to Tottenham to choke harder than Arsenal lol

Always bet $100 on 5000:1 odds. It's likely a small loss, but able to make a huge gain if it pays

Yeah, what's even more surprising is that they were 7 points infront this year, at the same time that they were 7 points from safety last year
Watching the breakdown of the Tottenham fans is glorious.

Leicester won matches against teams that had players who on their own had bigger transfer fees than Leicester's entire starting line-up.

It's even more impressive when realizing that pretty much none of Leicester's players were from any top flight clubs. Vardy played in the lowest professional football league in England six years ago, and worked his way up to fifth division side Fleetwood Town before getting signed by Leicester City, which was then playing in the Championship (English Second Division). Mahrez came from French second division club Le Havre. Drinkwater got loaned to English third division clubs while at ManU. The only person in the squad who had won the Premier League before, was Robert Huth with Chelsea, and that was ten years ago at that point!
