jesus christ, he's like, the worst assassin ever.

I don't mean that in a way that I wanted Ahmet to be killed.

I'd guess most assassination attempts end like this, or the guy gets caught before even reaching the target.
Look at the Turkish President roll away.
You'd think that if someone has put so much effort into reaching the target that he'd at least check his weapon before he tries to use it
Also change the title, it makes it sound like he was actually killed.
What I can make out of the video is that the gunman pulled the trigger, but maybe it wasn't loaded or maybe the safety was on.
He was very lucky to survive that attack.
Holy shit you can hear the gun click
Wow that's crazy, but I find it stupid how all these people start beating him up. I mean I don't care nor feel sorry for the assassin, but act civil guys.
Holy shit! Feels pretty weird to watch a failed assassination.
Also, I love the old guy at 58 seconds in who wants a piece of the action.

When people start putting guns to peoples heads and trying to pull the trigger people tend to get a little heated.
I love the reaction of the security team, kicking the shit out of that guy.
Now, let's watch similar thing happen in my country:

You try to act civil when you see a man try to assassinate the leader of your country.

What the fuck, it's like no one understands nor cares what's happening. They even get an interview out of the guy.

Totally understandable they are heated and angered and they have every right too be. But, they just turned into a violent mob and started slamming in the assassin even when security guards had him down. It's just my opinion, I mean the assassin totally deserved it.

I wasn't expecting the gun to be in the first 3 seconds and the rest of the video just be the guy getting kicked.
Woah, I must have missed that and I LIVE here.
edit: The incident was downplayed until the video was released a couple of hours ago.
I remember seeing a gif of a Japanese assassination. Where a guy was literarly flying with a katana into another guy.
Thats how you do it.
By the way, if anyone has any question about Dogan's politics or anything related about it, I'd love to answer them.

That incident happened in 1960, there's no way you could get away doing that now
Oh, and some news from local sources:
-The assailant is 25, a student in the Sofia Technical University. He entered with a badge from the Student rights movement.
-Dogan will in all probability step down from his post as the leader of DPS and be replaced by Lutvie Messan.
-The assailant is a gypsy from turkish descent (or at least name) - Oktai Enimehmedov.
-He's from Bourgas and has a dossier - he has been involved in some petty crimes.
-He was badly hurt after being wrestled down by security and lost consciousness.

I found it amusing how they just managed to calm things down and then an old man with an umbrella runs up and has a go as well.

The assassination of Franz Ferdinand was pretty bad
He missed with a bomb
Oh, and the way he was treated by the guards is how pretty much police works here, so I'm hardly surprised.
The crazy old guy with the cane at the end was hilarious.

Having your head kicked in by an angry mob of 60+ year old politicians must be extremely humiliating especially after failing as badly and obviously as he did.
He's really lucky that the gun didn't work though, he had luck on his side
